Just completed US turn 6.  Continue to send troops to Spain / France.  This is a bit of a stalemate but my allies are making progress so I am not worried.  Also landed more troops in Japan.

USSR Turn 7
Germans attack again and recapture Ukraine...Not too surprising there. They also attack pretty hard in the North as well.
Soviet Forces counter and shatter German forces in the North as well as blow a large hole in the German line.
Forces from the Luftwaffe launched many attacks this turn as well, and suffered the loss of perhaps 15-17 aircraft while Soviets lose 2 Fighters. It was a great turn for Soviet Air.

The Germans are being stubborn. I need to make some major progress on this front and push hard into Germany. I am beginning to feel a lot of preasure in the East from Japan. I sent a total of 7 divisions to China and looking at Japanese forces there, I don't think it may have been enough. I could be half way to Germany by now If I had them on the western line.

USSR turn 7
Here is a look at China.
Soviet forces were attacked here last turn. I lost a full strength Armor unit here to a Japanese air attack that could only have come from Sikang just south of the line.
Soviet forces counter attack on the Eastern side of the line and cause severe damage to 2 Japanese units and cause them to retreat.[:)]

That enemy Air unit based out of Sikang is going to cause me a lot of problems here as I have no Air units operating in this area.

In the North Japanese forces are spotted coming out of Manchuria... The Japanese have just built a factory there.[:(]

In Burma the Brit advance continues. An airstrike causes heavy losses to Japanese forces as ground troops move forward.

USSR turn 8

On the Western front the Germans launch a smashing attack... Many Soviet units were destroyed.
While attacks occurred all along the line, the most damage was taken in the South as German forces clear out the area in front of the Don.
Zukov musters up reinforcments and begins reorganizing behind the Don for another attack... So far I continue to punish the Germans in the Air and they put me through the meat grinder on the ground.

American forces continue the presure in the west and now British forces hit them from the South...

My hat goes off to Lars for putting up such a great fight.[;)]... Great job!

USSR Turn 8

In the East Soviet forces are under powered against a growing Japanese army.
After losing 4 divisions in China remaining Soviet forces withdraw to reorganize. A small Japanese army is coming up from Mancheria as well.
More reinforcement are dispached east but not enough to beat back Japanese forces I fear. But I do belive i can keep them from making any serious gains into soviet territory.

[UK Turn 8]
In the Med CW forces continue the offensive. A massive airstrike on a German armored unit in southern France triggers a large air battle that results in roughly even losses.

Lands are made in the Balkans. One thing to note is that in this scenario there are no supply lines to worry about so raids and small landings can be made without worrying about logistics.

Hmmmm, Burma looks lost. And i had another mauling by the RAF. Why are my fighters so bad against the RAF even though i outnumber them? jj, do you have jet fighters or something?

Japanese scientists made a breakthrough this turn. And japanese forces captured some russian production capacity - which almost makes up for the loss of Burma.

USSR turn 9

West front was a real bloody affair this turn for both sides. Germans hammered me pretty bad but i gave right back at em.

My income is dwindling down with the loss of another city to the Japanese. The bulk of my reinforcments went east to deal with the japanese threat...There will be no pictures this turn of my Eastern troop positions as it is very sensitive info at the moment...Lets just say the Japanese may be surprised by my response.

Being a seasoned A&A player I know the key to ally victory lies with the survival of Russia long enough for UK and US to turn back the Axis with there strong economy.

I;m in no danger of going out in the immediate future. It is a tough fight though and I'm not going make it easy for the Axis by any means. If the Axis does pull off a victory though, I would have to give most the credit to Lars. He has taken a lot of punishment and has been the primary focus of the allies.
the Axis better not get over confident though... My allies are growing stronger and things are only going to get worst for the Axis as long as I can hold on.[:D]

[UK TURN 9]
The Brit invasion of the balkans was tossed back into the sea by German Panzer columns. The RAF retaliates by destroying the lead panzer formation. A wolfpack is also located and destroyed in the Atlantic. Other than that Europe is quiet....for now.

The Commonwealth has more success in south asia. The Japanese army moves into India but gets a bloody nose. The Brit gains in Burma are also consolidated. In addition a landing is put in at the NEI.

USSR TURN 10

OK... West front still holding... Germans push into southern Russia and gain a lot of ground.
Zukov launches a counter strike combined with air strikes and blast apart the Southern and central German lines.
There wasn't much left of the German forces after the dust settled...

I've torn apart the German line like this before and Lars filled up all the holes the very next turn with fresh reinforcments...
With the Americans hitting them hard in the west again they will be spread very thin I'm sure.

USSR TURN 10

In the East Soviet forces meet the Japanese once again in front of the Mountians West of Mongolia.
This time with much better results... Japanese forces suffer the loss of some precious Armor units.
The Japanese advance will surely stall in this part of the front....
Further to the East is trouble though.

USSR Turn 11

An excelent job by my allies has led to an improved soviet position.
In The west the germans sent very few reinforcments and Soviet forces were able to push forward a bit.
More importantly I was able to eliminate most of the German line which, (barring a massive German army of reinforcments.) should allow me to push further into Germany next turn.
With the letting up in the west I was able to send more troops East again to deal with Japanese aggression. The Brits are putting a lot of pressure on the Japanese in south Asia which I am beginning to notice as the Japanese reinforcments have slowed very suddenly.

USSR Turn 11
Soviet forces have all but wiped out the Japanese army that crossed the mountains west of Mongolia. With the Brits engaging the Japanese in the south I turn my attention further East. The Soviets are in dire staits in the East as 2 cities have already fallen to the Japanese and Soviet far East is under bombardment. I will drive an army into the East and attempt recapture lost Soviet territory.
