You must not be clicking in the right place...

The link I provided is a link to a page that has direct link to the ocx file. There's a box where it says "Click Here to Download msflxgrd.ocx"

There are no links to other pages if you click where it says to click. Currently, I cannot re-package it as I am about to leave. Try again and look for the link. Sorry I cannot help more than this right now.

Hey Simmer, I uploaded the file for you in this post if you still need it. Rename the file to a .zip file and you can extract the .ocx file to the same directory the editor is installed in and it should work for you.

JD - I'm going to try to replicate the bug with the overwrite I mentioned and give you some additional details on that. I have some theories about why it might have happened, and will look closely at each part of the import process to see if I can help with the details.

Thanks for the heads up on the delete player radio button as well - I think I need my eyes checked! After spending a few hours in the editor yesterday, one would think that I could have seen that...

The thing that is stange is it only works with 15.2 included. I uninstalled 15.2 and it did not work until I kept it installed. It does indicate that it is 16.2 and shows the newest build.

Okay, the only advice I have is to tell you to make sure you're installing with ADMINISTRATOR privileges. Then, you will probably also have to run the program with ADMINISTRATOR privilages as well.

Other than that, I have no real advice. I have terrible success getting my prgrams to work with Vista on the first attempt. I used to think it was my fault, then I realized that Vista is a piece of crap... [;)]

Good luck, and let me know if this works!

Dang. Sorry that didn't/doesn't work. Well,t he good news is that with my upgrade to Visual Studio 2008, it is supposedly supposed to make visual basic 9.0 programs compatible with Vista. Unfortunately, until then, you may just have to wait. [:(]

I am working hard to get everything transfered over to visual basic 9.0, but it takes time, especially since the school I work at doesn't have it installed on thier machines (this is where I do most of my work).

I will try to pick up my pace a little!

Just a note, I had a similar registration alert on an XP machine.

I'd be weary about upgrading anything to Vista.  Much like Windows Me, it will likely be supplanted rather quickly - in this case by Windows 7.

Well, I'm not upgrading the program to Vista. It's just supposed to be more "VISTA friendly" (supposedly). The programming language has been changed to include the VISTA enviroment. However, it will work the exact same on XP. It's the conversion from Visual Basic 6.0 language to Visual Basic 9.0 langues that is taking the time. I would never upgrade anything to VISTA... it's a piece of junk. (sorry to whoever has VISTA [;)] )

When I try to run it I get the following error message.

Any idea what might be going on?

Thanks

Well, what simmer said will work. But, that's not the recommended solution. Read further up in this thread. I gave link to the msflxgrd.ocx file and instructions where to put it.

When I tried to run the editor, I received an error:

SetMailInfo0
Name parameter value missing!

Weird. I have not seen this error. Do me a favor:

1. what were doing? (was this at execution? or after loading a DB, or when?)

2. can you get a screen shot of the error (this usally helps me out)?

Thanks.

Sorry about the error!

Please don't apologize for any errors - we all appreciate what you are gving our community!!

The error came up when I first tried to run the program. I downloaded the file and ran it, and that error is what I got. I will be happy to post a screenshot if you tell me how to do it (my computer skills - not so good!).

Thanks much!!

When the error pops up, hit Ctrl + Print Screen (usually somehwere in the top right of your keyboard). What that does it basically make a copy of what is on your screen. Now, open up MS paint or some other photoediting program and start a New blank picture. You should be able to PASTE (ctrl+v) the screen shot to the new blank picture. Save the picture.

If it is too big to post the whole screen on here, then open the picture back up and copy just the error message and paste it into a new blank picture.

Hope these instructions help.

We only have Canon photo software (that came with the digital camera); no photo programs for editing. I tried to copy this anyway I could, I am trying to attach this using txt format (probably will just be a jumble). The Canon software does not let me start a "new" picture to paste into.

I did notice that at the top of the error box it says Mindspring Internet Software. We used to have Mindspring, now we have Comcast. I cannot imagine how your program would have anything to do with Mindspring. Does that help any?

Thanks again!! Please pardon my complete lack of computer skills.
