RE: Fumble stat to garysorrell
I also checked individual players via the Team Stats screen....still all showed properly.
Im not trying to prove this isnt a bug, im trying to help find the problem. I have the same downloads as everyone else. I dont have a special test build or anything. I did, but scrapped it and downloaded both the versions available to the public so I could test what everyone has.
My question is, since so far this is I think only Elmerlee and Hubbard, how did you install 2.2? Im thinking this could be an install issue.
Did you do a clean install of 2.0, then install 2.2?
Did you just install 2.2 over 2.18?
All you truly need is 2.0 and 2.2....I would do a clean uninstall of everything, ensure the Maximum Football folder is gone. Install 2.0 then install 2.2.
Create a league and see if it still happens.
If you are using an old(pre 2.2) league file, reset it.
David has said you need to reset old leagues, and I wholeheartedly agree. 2.2 was the last update that will make any structural changes to files, so it would pay to just reset and start fresh.

Also, just to say based on my time spent on this board and also now my short time as a tester, if you find a bug, David and the test team are grateful and David will fix it. Just remember that it's better for him to wait a few days and see what else pops up so he can release maybe 1 or 2 fixes at the most and deal with all the issues at once.
Our goal is to have elmerlee, hubbard and everyone else playing lots of football.

RE: Fumble stat to garysorrell
Hi.
Were any of these fumbles returned for a touch down?
also..
I would like a clarification on this. My understanding is that a QB can not be both sacked and fumble. If a QB is considered sacked the play is dead so can not fumble. If the ball was fumbled, the QB wasn't down by contact yet and so can't have been sacked.
This is the logic the game applies.
thanks
David

Just to clarify. I enjoy this game and hope I'm not coming across as a "whiner". Just trying to point out things that may be wrong so they can be fixed.

Have you tried uninstalling and reinstalling only 2.0 and 2.2?

Hi Hubbard.
I don't think uninstalling or reinstalling different versions is going to do anything. Version 2.2 has the same files included regardless of how you upgrade. You won't have different binaries if you install a build from a different source. I know Gary is trying to help but I don't think that will have any impact.
I'll ask again in case it was missed; were any of the fumbles you had taken back for a TD?
thanks
David

In the NFL, a sack is credited when a defender forces a fumble by the quarterback in a situation that would otherwise have been a sack. This is usually called when the fumble occurs while the quarterback is being tackled to the ground but it not yet down when he loses possession of the football.

The sacks were never recorded to the QB record and even worse the yards lost were deducted from his passing yardage.
Hi.
Where are you seeing the yards removed from passing yardage?
thanks

RE: Fumble stat
The league was reset, new players, draft run.
The install was a 2.0 with 2.2 on top.
David - I believe Marauders interpets this the sam e as I would. It would be nice if Max is making an error due to the program logic rather that some type error. Should be more easily corrected.
In respect to your two questions dave.
1. No - no fumble returned for a TD.
2. I determined the sack yardage was being deducted from rushing yardage by checking the game log. The qb rushed for 47 yards based on the play log. He was sacked for a total of 11 yards. His total ush yards in the box score and leagues stats sheet as 36 yards. Checked this on three different games. Also the QB yards gained passing was equal to the numbers added from the game log MINUS his lost sack yards. Also the QB was listed for catching the same number of passes as there were sacks and showed minus receiving yards equal to the yards lost on the "sacks".
Hope this sheds some light on the subject.

My bad.
The 2.2 install was over 2.0 + 2.18

That's strange. I don't subtract sack yardage from anything. Sack counts and yardage totals are recorded separately, and displayed in either the overall team category and the passing category.
Can you please send me the logs you're seeing this in.
thanks

Glad to David but how do I get the copy
of the log into the e-mail when after I click the e-mail icon.
I'm just use to using outlook to e-mail.

OK David I sent two files.
I was trying to send to you personally rather than Winter Valley Software.

Darn it I forgot to mention that the FF file was from a brand new league I built from scratch just to see if it made a difference.
