That's nice but what is the point in advancing the engine if you can't advance the plane? I am starting to think on agreeing with the previous comment that putting resources into research is a waste and to just put those resources into producing more planes. Like the Russians WWII philosophy, quantity rather than quality.![]()
Manual states that engines and planes are researched in same manner. That means that if you manage to build same 85 points of some plane type in multiple factories, none too big, you should start to advance that model rather quickly.
Problem is that aircraft factories repair is far slower than engine factories. Rate of repair is actually so slow, that in plane models in service aprox. mid 1943, there is no advance or it is so small that it doesn't matter. IMHO it is better to concentrate on few high-end models from 1945 or end of 1944 and push them forward. From 1943 forward they should start advancing rather quickly, if effort to research them is made from day one.
