<snip>

I've pre-ordered CMBN and as soon as PCO is released I'm going to be pulling out my credit card. Am very excited about both games coming out. I see these games as complementing each other and not competing against each other.

This is my situation, as well ... I have CM:BN on pre-order, and I'm looking forward to getting PCO, too, it's a great time for tactical wargaming! [8D]

What's the worst that could happen? If one is much better than the other and gets most of my time and enjoyment, I'll still have the other one for if I want a change of pace and spend some time on the other Front. I appreciate the efforts of those giving me options, it's always nice to have options. [:)]

I also agree. And...with PCO and CMBN we have two base games, which can be improved upon for years and years to come. Remember how CMBO, CMBB or even CMAK started and how those games, properly modded, look now. It is a world of difference. I expect the same will happen with PCO and CMBN.

I will be getting both, too. And with good reason. CMBN looks good and all. But with Ostfront, I can create my very own weapons systems in a few minutes via the xml files. How about a 251 halftrack with 50mm armor and a quad 20mm to spice things up. Can't do that in CM.

Indeed.And if I were Matrix I would do everything to launch PCO before CMBN breaks out. Any moment now...

I've pre-ordered CMBN and as soon as PCO is released I'm going to be pulling out my credit card. Am very excited about both games coming out. I see these games as complementing each other and not competing against each other.

I think PCO is better than CMBN, although I will also buy both. No offensive, just my own opinion.

No offense taken. I see nothing wrong with someone preferring one over the other. Nor do I see anything wrong with a person deciding to buy only one.

Personally I am pleased to see that each game is focusing on different fronts and that they are each taking a different approach toward modeling combat operations in WW2.

As others have posted, we are very fortunate to see two very good games coming out dealing with WW2 at almost the same time.

Sorry but I've already lost interest and I'm supposed to be getting the thing for free. Stringing customers along on a daily basis regarding release is just not right. You guys knew yesterday that it wouldn't be released today and kept quiet about it. All of a sudden you announce that it will probably be Thursday. Nobody faults you for being sick but you were sick yesterday and still had the time to post on Wargamer forums as well as here. And yet no mention of a QA process taking things out of your hands. It's not that I'm looking to get something for nothing. I just don't like being played and when you could have said yesterday what you said today that's exactly what it seems like. You pretty much had to know yesterday that you weren't going to release on Wednesday and kept quiet about it. It's not right to treat customers that way. Either have a firm date for release or just keep quiet about release until you actually release the damn thing.

Unbeliveable. You can't please everyone. I personally like the fact that Erik at least goes out on the limb to estimate a date versus other companies that provide no information. In the end, I'll be picking up both games, but it is posts like this that drive me crazy and likely lead to companies not wanting to post estimates.

You are right. I apologize. I do not need to lower myself down to that level. But you know what. It is the same thing game release after game release. People bitching and moaning about they said it would be released and now they are delaying. Holy @#$#. Relax. Kick back and throw in an old game that you want to revisit. Everyone else is anxious for the release too but you dont see them wasting posts over something that you have no control of. Companies should not even release statements about releases until the game is actually ready to ship. Then release a statement with the date and hit it on the head every time. That is all you see over at BF - people guesstimating release dates, people bitching about missing release dates, and people wondering what they are going to do now that the date passed and they were planning on playing the game. I agree with you Reaper. Unbelievable.

@stlzc
My apologies. I was responding to the post above yours.

@Grim.Reaper
You can go straight to hell. I don't answer to you. If you don't like my posts then don't read them. I addressed my concerns to Erik, he read them and responded. I may not agree with his response but I considered the matter closed. Just like you said, Unbelievable! People that feel the need to brown nose or kiss ass just to make themselves feel special is what drives me crazy. Let me let you in on a little secret. You aren't special and nobody really cares what you'll be buying. You're nothing more than another customer. It's the anonymity of the internet that allows comments like yours. If you were standing in a customer service line and voiced an opinion about another customer somebody would probably pop you in the mouth. I definitely would. In the future you might want to refrain from responding to posts that drive you crazy or upset you. You might also try to mind your own business and keep your opinions to yourself. You'll find that things work out much better that way.
