Hi Johnnie,

Panzer Command: Ostfront is out of our hands and in the store QA process. It took a bit longer to get it there than we expected, as I've been sick and that delayed things a bit. The store QA process is not entirely predictable, but my expectation is that we're looking at a Thursday release. Sorry for the additional delay.

Regards,

I've pre-ordered CMBN and as soon as PCO is released I'm going to be pulling out my credit card. Am very excited about both games coming out. I see these games as complementing each other and not competing against each other.

I think PCO is better than CMBN, although I will also buy both. No offensive, just my own opinion.

I know we all have preconcieved notions about how things are, but, until you actually play a game I don't think there's any way to tell if you will actually like one product over another. Especially, when neither of them has been fully released to the community yet.

I think both games will eventually have their devoted followers and I think the larger group of gamers will play them both to some degree.

Combat Mission Beyond Normandy will be awesome and it has real time ability and less phase interruptions. If you have played Combat Mission Shock Force you know what you are in for. But both these games are good. Panzer Command is just a little slower with too many breaks in the action.

That being said how do we make sure we get the free download if we already own Kharkov and Winter Storm like I do?

Erik
Sorry but I've already lost interest and I'm supposed to be getting the thing for free. Stringing customers along on a daily basis regarding release is just not right. You guys knew yesterday that it wouldn't be released today and kept quiet about it. All of a sudden you announce that it will probably be Thursday. Nobody faults you for being sick but you were sick yesterday and still had the time to post on Wargamer forums as well as here. And yet no mention of a QA process taking things out of your hands. It's not that I'm looking to get something for nothing. I just don't like being played and when you could have said yesterday what you said today that's exactly what it seems like. You pretty much had to know yesterday that you weren't going to release on Wednesday and kept quiet about it. It's not right to treat customers that way. Either have a firm date for release or just keep quiet about release until you actually release the damn thing.

Tevans,

You're making a lot of assumptions. I did the best I could to inform you as quickly as I could once I knew the release date was definitely changing. I did not know that until late yesterday.

What's another day or two. It's not like you can go to Best Buy and get a game like this. I don't mind waiting since the market is small for these types of games. We should be glad that Matrix is still making games like this.

I bought CMSF with the Marine expansion, but I found them not that impressive for me. So I just stopped buying the British and NATO expansions. The report after a battle in CMSF is a little bit simple, because it just shows you how many guys wounded, killed or missing but nothing else. In POC, of course, the demo, after a battle I can check what happened to my single unit, and when I found one of my Jagdpanther destroyed 5 T-34s, I really felt great.

However, I will buy CMBN just because this time it focuses on WWII...

How easy it is for you to make wiseass comments over the internet. Makes you feel real big, doesn't it? Bet you wouldn't do it standing in line because somebody would probably end up knocking you on your ass. So kindly keep your wiseass comments to yourself. I posted my message to Erik and he read it. Although I don't agree with his response I consider the matter closed.

This is my situation, as well ... I have CM:BN on pre-order, and I'm looking forward to getting PCO, too, it's a great time for tactical wargaming! [8D]

What's the worst that could happen? If one is much better than the other and gets most of my time and enjoyment, I'll still have the other one for if I want a change of pace and spend some time on the other Front. I appreciate the efforts of those giving me options, it's always nice to have options. [:)]
