I think that about the best maps that you can find for the Sicilian Campaign are those in the associated Green Book. I've pored over many a volume looking for decent contour maps for Operation Avalanche. I ended-up using Google, instead!
Have a look at the New Zealand and Canadian offical Histories, I believe both can be found on the net.
Next step would be finding hard copies of the British and Indian histories.

The Brit and Canadian histories might also be a good source for NW Europe scenarios.

For mapping I recommend you pay a visit to a good map library and look up the British GSGS series. These were produced from before the war and during it. They covered all of europe. I don't know about specific libraries other than the one we have here at the Australian National Library in Canberra. but there i can see the physical maps and order scans of them. They have a digitising service. I reckon you should be able to find a similar service at a good map library near you.
