Hi, my name is Gridley and I'm an AE/Model Railroader...

"Hi, Gridley!"

...it has been three days since my last switching problem and two days since my last PBEM turn...

(Clapping)

N-scale for me, BTW.

I wonder if I can pack up the cars on the layout, and strat mode them to the otherside of the layout.....what would be the unpack/pack time on that?

I also am a model railroader. Just moved to a new house, planning the next train layout. In between AE turns of course!

My N scale trains are packed away in the attic, with no place to build a layout.  The time and room will be there one day!  [:)]

"Hello. My name is John and I am a WitP: AE Addict."

My FAMILY is in the design stages for a G-Scale RR around a pond/waterfall. The JPJ&C (John, Paula, John, and Chris) RR shall start to be born this summer. HAH! I've co-opted my wife into helping here! How is that for strategy?!!

Wow, I never realized how many of you guys are model railroaders. If I'd known that, I'd have started hanging out here a long time ago! [8D]

Same here, except with my HO-scale stuff. I have ~150 cars/locomotives and (at this point) nearly 500 feet of track waiting for me to put them on a table somewhere....

I believe what we are seeing here is a non-random association between AE players and model railroaders. I, for one, am a bit alarmed.[;)]

One of you math geeks do a Chi Square test or something.

The Null Hypothesis is that proportion of model railroaders in the general population is the same as that among the population of AE players. <throws down gauntlet>

Could be incomplete genetic penetration off a different locus from the same gene. Doesn't have to be a Mendellian heritability, Cap'n. These things are all carried on the Dorkwad/geekwad gene of which we are all, unfortunately, highly expressive.

It could certainly be X-linked too. We have very few female players (I think).

How many of you chaps have unibrows?

Thankfully I am not a model railroader. I build model planes, tanks and ships. I have a cat that loves to chew off the ends of gun barrels. I'm lucky to have two finished models at the same time.
