Alright I belive I did everything right :)

To the best of my knowledge the german army is deployed and ready for action.

Note: I assumed when you said 250 art you ment everything on the artillery screen. Just FYI.

You are correct. Op Fire is the biggest difference that you have to overcome in switching from playing the AI where you get to decide if you want to take an op fire shot or not. In PBEM, the computer takes your op fire for you given the ranges you select.

Also, when selecting arty, we generally mean just artillery that you have to plot (i.e. indirect fire stuff), not everything on the artillery screen, so you may want to start over in your game with V#2.

Thanks for the info. As to restarting naw, and I don't expect him to conform to what I did either. I planned my ways of dealing with things out decently I think even given the art handicap I was giving myself on an asumption.

Plus who says Germ's need AT capability to win :P

You however will go no such leway now that I know good sir!! <grin>

Well inital signs of life from the enemy are seen as artillery fire is felt all around. Luckly they seem unable to aim.

Foward units report that they have compromised their positions to find 2 car type things, a rather nasty looking tank and some moterized bikes. The scouts where stunned that they enemy was advancing rather then cowering in fear as they should be.

Aprently you moter bike squads where not informed of the fear they are supposed to be experincing. As my wagon rounded the top of the hill in the South they where fired apon by one of them.

Back at HQ the generals are gowing concerned with the hill in the middle as enemy forces (albiet very light) forces have already taken up resedence. To few to be worth shells yet in position to give much unwated intel on my forces.

Remind me next time not to forget to actualy load someone in my scout cars

Covert ops teams pop up in the middle of town causing confusion and havoc in and around town. One morter squad is caught off guard and while managing to kill 1 poor comando was unable to defend itself.

Artillery is felt all around again yet no damage was sustaned. One paticular Panzer 2 just escaped a hellstorm of shells by one turn it apears.

Meanwhile my comando's have decided they don't feel like making it to objective and have broken of radio contact. Your commando's will be delt with soon enough.

I should point out the first shot of the war was not fired by germany :)

Well your commando's have found themselves under the guns of tanks rolling thru town (literaly) and one of them at least is heading back to your main force.

On the southern and nothern end things are quiet. A far cry different then the middle which is asound with art hits and in town fighting.

yup well hopefully my art managed to do something usefull. Your commando's are having a rough time, one squad died horribly the other is far closer to a panzer then I personaly would want to be and has taken some casualties.

The south is see'ing a little more action from your side. You seem to be mobalizing some forces in that direction. The north is fairly quiet althow recon reports show some enemy movement.

See they are learning to fear the germans. First tank exchanges took place this turn one managed to hit but didn't get penetration on target.

More comando's routed out in the middle. And finialy some ski squads take the hill in the south. Much running all round from your troops.

Germans continue the fight over that hill, between inf it is fairly seesaw as panzers movemnts are restricted by AT/Tank coverage. A comando squad is found near the South hill and when fired apon by the panzers decides to run strieght at them. They where allowed to disperse because my tankers where laughing so hard.

The middle is quiet and some very light scout elements trade blows in the north with the result of 1 german scout losing his life.

Sure right now I am only using slots 3,6,10 so pick somethin different then that. Maby a bit larger of a force? We can use this same thread to for simplicity. Whatever setup you want will be fine with me.

be back in a jiff.
