Here's my moves in the southern part of the map. I'm taking a look around using all those tank brigades I got as reinforcements recently.

Hey you guys: I just got an email from Dan saying how this is his first AAR and he's kind of intimidated by what to do or say etc. If you
guys could give him some encouragement to post something it would really help out a lot. Some kind of "rah rah you can do it" kinds of
things would be great. I'm trying to get him to see that it's his AAR too and we would all benefit from his input. What do you say guys?

I totally understand, it takes a while to get used to forums and forumrules, how to behave and what to write (or not).
But I think ppl in general (though not all) will act on forums the same way as in their real lives, that is pretty decent, well mannered.
So post away Dan, anything is allowed on this forum here, except explicit politics (that always always leads to endless discussions that lead to nowhere), spam (selling useless junk) and pornography.
Besides, we appreciate you kicking Red Larry's commy behind [;)]

I should have informed Onkel Larry about the 'House Rules' NOT to blow up bridges. It was bloody freezing anyway, and the Autrian as well as the Georgian gave orders NOT to blow'm up :) Anyway. Most important thing is, that it's being tested. :)

Is fortified/ignore losses still an issue? I played an early version of this scenario against Oberst Klink and he did not blow any bridges, but he did have small units behind the bridges that I assume were fortified/ignore losses that I could not move even after surrounding them and pounding on them for several turns.

Also, not attacking with red status units, while generally a good idea, means you will probably have a hard time achieving your objectives.

Good luck

Here's the front lines in T2: Dan is pushing units into my path all over the map. He's intending to defend forward I guess. Works for me.

Hi Larry and Dan,

I have play-tested a few versions, and my experience is that the supply situation in the NE makes Axis forward defence there difficult - better in my opinion to fall back and create Fortress Belgorod. On the other hand, the Kupyansk rail knot is central to Soviet supply - I faced a couple of SS divisions fortified IL there, and never got anywhere. In another game (against the PO) I focussed the initial effort on the rail knot, and had good progress for the rest of the game (though as said, this was against the PO!).

Good luck

Here's the front lines in T4: The Soviets are bottled up by the Axis and can't make any progress anywhere until they fight their way out of
the containment.

And here's what it looks like in the south. Dan has one of his tank units headed for an important bridge. I'll have to intercept him.

Here's the front lines in T5. I seem to be stuck near the right edge of the map and Dan is attacking me. Very fluid situation. Playing this
by ear.

Here's the front lines in T6. Because of the blown bridges and the Axis opposition I seem to be stuck to the right edge of the map.
