To play the mod all it requires is a separate install and your ready to play.

I am a bit like warspite in that I am not too clever with computers. When you say a separate install of your mod is required, does this mean that, in effect, you would have two completely separate versions of the game on your PC that could not "contaminate" one another?

Is there any chance of you writing, at some stage, a short "idiot's guide" to using your mod for players like myself and warspite? Thanks.

Its just that I have renamed some units, like Battleship to Dreadnought these type of things crash the game, but that said there is a very good chance that the mod can be 100% compatible with the game, I'm working on a way to make this possible, I can't go into details at this point in time, watch this space moves are a foot![:)]

This would be nice thing. Installing separate games for any mods is... like digging with spoon in the ground- there are other tools for that.

Update regarding my huge mod, compatibility with the standard game,it is now 100% compatible, I have changed the renaming of unit types back to standard game settings, so Dreadnought is back to a Battleship, Light Cruiser is just a Cruiser,New Home Guard unit is a Small Garrison. That said there are still Pre-Dreadnoughts,Armoured Cruisers,Battlecruisers & Destroyers in the mod. I have also added it, so that it can be selected as a new Campaign from the menu. There is no way round the fact, that if you want to use all my new art work, them you will still have to replace the Commander art etc that comes with the game. As an added bonus I have just added a new Tech to the game, AERIAL PHOTOGRAPHY![;)]

Happy to see progress still being made with this game! I find the scale to be just perfect for my tastes. I was about to start playing again, but if a big new patch is around the corner I'll hold off til then.

All I can say is that the patch is being play tested as we speak, the designers want to get this as bug free before release, as is possible, which unfortunetly takes time, and a lot of testing.[;)]

So is getting the patch out a precondition to the release on Ipad and Mac? I thought that Ipad and Mac release were independent but if they want to patch the PC version and then have Ipad and Mac be the same version, it makes sense to release the PC patch and have it be consistent with the IPad and Mac versions.

So glad this is coming out on Ipad. Even though I've played war games for 30 years now (think Avalon Hill Guns of August for first WW1 game), now I have a family and job and the only way I can play anything for a few minutes depends on the mobility of my Ipad.
