Pull the Carriers back to under massive fighter cover and wait for the Hellcats and the Essex. The hit him hard on a narrow front and when the KB reacts attack everywhere it can't get to.

I have nothing to say on this matter, but happy to pretend I have something to say.......
Well, I have even less to say, so I won't post at all. Doh!

I think you are going about this the wrong way. You should haul fuel first, then oil.

Well, I say give it a go. You'll have an excuse if you lose. However, if you pull a GreyJoy, your name will become the stuff of legend.

Oh, and let me add to the count.

Always happy to assist an AFB.

If I ever get my brother to get AE (I gave his son WitP for Christmas many years ago, now it belongs to my brother) I'd be willing to try the Japanese side since he'd be brand-new to wargaming at all, aside from an old Apple IIc submarine game. In nearly a lifetime of wargaming, though, I've found it almost impossible to mentally engage the "wrong" side.

I think is is to spread out, but Scen 2 allows for that. I agree, consolidate, then hit him with one two punches, once from the east, then the west, then the east again. And try to throw in a third axis for attrition, or in case one of the two main axis proves to hard. He has a LOT in the south and to the east, and his lines are really long.

Just a thought, and another post to keep 'em guessing.

Good advice. I'll see what I can do to implement it. And thanks![&o]

Thanks guys! You've been great![&o][&o][&o] And CB seems to be worried. Plus I'm sure he's puzzeled why the count is so much highyer on this thread than his! I really appreciate your help! [&o][&o][&o] And let's admit it....it really is fun conspiring to drive him nuts! [;)]

I just started a new PBEM as Allies using scenario 2, but no house rules. It will be interesting to see what happens.

My brother has a pair of dogs who have grabbed chickens that were dropped in the local forest... Maybe that helps?
