Reinstalled in Steam - no go

This time at least the game start screen appears (no matrix intro) but after a few seconds a message that "Steam initialization failed" and after clicking "Proceed" I get kicked out. Doesn't matter if Stem is running or not when trying this, nor if I run as administrator or not.

Okay, reboot. Start Steam. Then try to start the game from the exe again. You may also want to try the launcher from the game folder and see what it does. Strange problem, but we will keep working it.

By "launcher" I guess you mean "autorun.exe"? I tried both. No luck. Also tried the shortcut on the desktop. Nothing.

Shut down Nahimic and any other 3rd party app and try launching the game. Nahimic is a known incompatible program.

Nahimic was the culprit! I had problems before with it for Combat Mission games, but the new Nahimic version corrected that. But not this. There was however a workaround before that I will try again and that is to rename a file associated with streaming the game.

I'm so glad it works. You guys are great when it comes to customer support. Second to none. Quick replies and stays on it until resolved. Too few do that these days.

Thanks for posting the diagnostic information. See Nahimic in the list was a red flag. Glad all is well now enjoy the game! I'll have to post about Nahimic and work with Matrix to note that issue on the store pages.
