Summer 1945 Part 2 - Opportunity Gained

Despite the setback in Europe, opportunity knocks in the Far East. Our development & production of transports has paid off, as our offensive against Manchuria & Korea was proceeded by a huge invasion of Kyushu. Our troops are victorious & Japan is open to our final assault against Tokyo.

Fall 1945 - The End

Our troops, technologically superior to the Japanese in every way, blasted a path through to Tokyo & forced the surrender of the Imperial Japanese Armed forces. I'm sure the Japanese will make very willing communists when we are through with them.

Thanks for a great AAR. I know this has been asked and answered, but are there different AI difficulty settings, and if so, on which setting did you play?

More generally, how would you assess the AI's play? Did it give you a good game? It sure looks like it.

By the way, had it taken one more turn for the Allies to take out Japan, it would have only been a Marginal Victory.

This one was played on challenging (one level up from Normal). I'd gotten pretty lucky on this one - it could have easily gone the other way.

Total game time was about 3 hours (with time for screen shots) - of course, I'm an old hand at this now & can pretty much blaze through turns.
