Japan took two interior Chinese provinces this season at the cost of one infantry. Captured resources and rail lines have been repaired to the extent allowed by supply availability. Another bombing raid into Chunking managed to take out a couple (?) Chinese infantry and the bothersome Flak unit at the expense of one tactical bomber damaged.

I am still not sure whether it was a good move to attack interior China for the resources. It might be that the increased production over the next few turns will not justify the expense of supplies and produciton costs of repairing damaged units. When I eventually do go after the WA, I will do some calculations to determine if I would have been better off leaving interior China alone and just using the air force.

For those of you peeking in, here is what has happened, well best that I can remember.[;)]

Germany has done a standard, well from what I have seem in other games, move in taking out the med, ie Egypt and Gibralter. Norway was not taken. Sometime, in Fall 40 I believe, Germany invaded Scotland. There was up to 8 units in Scotland at some point prior to the allied attacks. Germany occupied Scotland for a full year!!?? They have been kick out but are now advancing through central Africa. There has been no attack on the Soviets as of yet (Winter 42). The middle East is taken and the allies just attacked Persia to bring that in to the war. Transports seem to be sinking every where but given the focus on taking scotland back I can see how convoy protection took a back seat. It will be seen if the invasion attempt has greatly hurt the German position. It certainly has help the Soviets.[:D]

China was badly handled buy yours truly and at this point has been reduced to one province.[:@] Japan has not taken heavy casualties and is in a good position sitting under the Soviet Union ready to strike. They also will have the option to attack the allies without worry of a chinese strike against them. Although the Soviets will have that option after winter 43.[:)] I think some where along the way they also took Siam.

Not much else going on but it has been exciting watching the Germans and Western Allies fighting it out over scotland and now it has moved to central Africa and Persia.

This one has been good so far.
