BigDuke66,

I saw you changed your subject title. I am sorry; I feel for you, but I personally don't know what more to do to help you. I don't won't to waste your time saying "change this and change that". Like with most computer problems, it will turn out to be one small and simple thing that can probably be quickly resolved.

At the moment, I think Eddy is on vacation for another week or so. Although he is not one of the developers, he did help investigate and address some font problems when I had brought them up along with some font/installation problems with Win98 SE. He'll probably have some ideas. Otherwise, there is Paul Scobell who is a developer, but part-time. I haven't seen him here for a couple of days; I had assumed that Dave would get in touch with him if needed. I'll drop Paul a line and ask him to check this thread.

Hang in there. (Go on and do something else. A lot of the stuff you have been trying didn't sound very promising. You are probably better off just waiting until we can get you some technical help, than frustrating yourself by trying a lot of stuff with low percentages.)

Take care.

@CriticalMass
Desktop runs with 1024x768. Tried the game with all 3 possible resolutions.

@MarkShot
Thanks, I guess your right it will just be a tiny little thing that can be quickly resolved if found.

Hi there

Brand new costumer with a problem...[:(]

I have the same display problem BigDukke66 has, but with 1280x1024 res

I have also noticed that the intro screen (the "radio" where you select new game, load game etc) does not apears at 1280x1024. It occupies nearly all the screen but its a little blurry. Obviously a lower res image scaled up to 1280x1024. This doesn´t happen in HTTR. where this screen was smaller but crisp at 1280x1024 res. Maybe "something" in COTA fails to change resolution??
I have tried to force my screen res by changing the shorcut with the extension "resolution 1280x1024 as suggested in the readme. It works ok (no asking at start) but does not resolve the problem.
I checked and my system also runs at 96 DPI.
My card its also an ATI card (radeon 9600 pro)
By the way, I own RDOA and HTTR and both runs ok in this PC.

Please panther boys came back from holidays and help us!![:(]

Cheers

Well my problem is resolved.
Don't ask me how, I just reinstalled Windows(11 months is just to long, normally I reinstall at least all 6 months) and now it works.

My OS's use to last 2+ yrs, without dropping performance. I'll never understand the ppl who reinstall every 3 months (like a friend), in order to get rid of their shredded systems.

My problem is also resolved!!! [:)]
Fortunately i didn´t need to reinstall windows... a reboot was enough [:o]
I don´t know why, but the system didn´t change the resolution of the fonts, menus and dialogs to 1280x1024, only the interface and map [&:]

After reeboting my PC everything is in the same res and fits OK.
Must be some windows shit... Bill Gate´s fault, as usual... [:@]

Hope all of you enjoy your holidays!! [:)]

I'm pretty sure someone reported HTTR working under WINE or another emulator so I don't see why COTA wouldn't work either.

Maybe I should have used <irony>-tags to mark my post as humorous... ;-)
BTW: Is there a tongue-in-cheek smiley? *g*
