RE: Back to Paper Mod
Yes, it's true Mark.
I have just finished a new one (the last, for instance), and I prefer the way I take to create the tree zones in this backtocoloredpaper2. This solution lets the ground appear under the vegetation (on the two max zoom out view). And the contours are more visible with 3 main hues (instead of two for the other), from ocher on low level to Brown on mid level and to light grey on high level. It's surely my preferate one and I will surely put the new trees on the two precedent when I'll have the time to do it.

Dan will put it soon online I hope [;)]

J'aime vraiment cette dernière mod Robin!
But just a little thing preventing it from being absolutely to my taste: the roads can be very hard to distinguish between "minor roads" or simply "roads", or difficult just to see "tracks".
But apart from that, good job! really!

RE: Back to Paper Mod
I have heard you Trigger Happy !
As soon as Dan has the time to put it online, you will have my third (and last) version of backtocoloredpaper :

As you see, many improvements on Trees (lighters and more logical between whood light wood...) and scrub, swamp, colors and of course, road contrasts. This time, I am very satisfy by the result. At least !

Well, it's time to work on the buildings of the sequel of BoA... Sorry. [:-]

That's fantastic, Robin!! As a proud owner of BoA, I've admired the graphic work you have done in the past. Thanks for the great mod.

Hé, hé benparks... I must thank you and thank you all for your compliments.
Don't think I m crasy, but I wanted to try this ULTIME version, with more visibility on the relation between low levels, rivers and vegetations... To better understand the geography and having more cotnrast between valley and hills or mountains.

Dan will post the last two files soon, I think... ?
And now, see you for new pictures of the post BoA game ! Yahoo !!!

RE: Back to Paper Mod
I want to try it, but was waiting for a message here that it has been uploaded and where I could find it. I 'm using your # 3rd release right now but would like "with more visibility on the relation between low levels, rivers and vegetations... To better understand the geography and having more cotnrast between valley and hills or mountains." So... where can I get it

RE: Back to Paper Mod
Hi Robin!
I love the style and colors of your map modification (Version 4). And definetely its a lot better than the default showing elevations and the lay of the land.
[&o][&o][&o]
But i have found a couple of glitches checking the mod in different maps.
1- The scrub doesn´t show in the same way that in your example image. I used the same map (Maleme historical campaign) but in my PC the scrubs have different colors (mostly yellow) depending of the elevation. It seems some problem with the layers.
2-Marshes looks darker and with heavier lines that in your example (look the big marshes in the Tutorials maps). At the most zoomed out level they also look weird and a little blueish.
Sorry for not posting and image but i dont know how to do it [:o]
I dont know if its just my problem of somethnig happened with the files. [&:]
It´s a pity because a really this mod!
Could you or somebody check it, please?
Thanks a lot!

RE: Back to Paper Mod
I definitely think it's because it's the same mappatA.bmp file as the previous (BTP3) mod and I don't think it should. Maybe there was an error in the zipping.

You are right, TriggerHappy... [;)]
I have checked the date of the files, and the MapPat.bmp include in the zip file is too old !
Well, this one should be the good one, include in the zip file again :

Robin, don't you have enough work over at BOA? You are over here working as well, are you looking for that end-of-year truffle bonus?
You deserve it. Great work!
