I hope you find a home for them Rob, anything is better than those Wirraways [:D]
It was an early version of NikMod that the game was started in, I hope v8 hasn't changed anything.

As for the P-51Bs I can't find any squadron with it in the upgrade path[:(]

NO[;)]

For the last time guys THERE IS NOT CHANCE OF GETTING P51B''S IN STOCK[;)]

No groups arrive with it = therefore not an upgrade option for existing FG's = no chance for deployment.

Those museums are great though Rob[:)]

I know for sure that the 51B's were used in China. My brother-in-law flew one in China, Got a couple of kills. My image is his squadron patch.

THe only way to be absolutely sure of this would be to go through all the air units one by one using the database editor, looking to see what each one upgraded to. It is possible to override the standard path for an individual unit.

Mustangs were used extensively in CBI and if you search for 'P51 Burma' you'll find references that the 311 FBG flew an escort mission to Rangoon (though with P51As) on November 25th 1943. P51s were operating in China before that date.

Shame about not being able to use P51Bs in the game. Wonder who was [>:] to let that get by.

311th Group uses the A-36 in the game. Guess that stands in for the P-51A/B...

Well looking at the old spreadsheets for stock at 1.3 P51Bs are neither the start plane or upgrade plane of any squadron. I had hoped the Apache upgrades to them but they go to the Thunderbolt.... [:(]

A-36 was different than the P-51B tho, yes?

A-36 had Allison, and P-51 had Merlin engine, right?

Don't know the WitP stats off the top of my head, but I'm fairly sure the peformance of an A-36 would -not- be nearly that of a P-51B...?

And it's not in WitP either. Stock stats include max speed of 390 vs. 419 mph, climb rate of 1852 vs. 3300, and max altitude of 32000 vs 41800 feet.
