P51B's?

What about P-39Qs? I would like to be able to use them while I am waiting for P-51Bs, but cannot find any units that will upgrade...

I think the P-39Q is one of the types used only by the Russians.

The P-51B is the beginning of its upgrade thread. It's a fighter, so I assume any USAAF fighter can upgrade to it in a PDU game.

That's what I thought guys but i've looked at P38G, P38J, P39D, P40N and P47D/C units and NONE of them can upgrade to P51B's............

Yup I can confirm NONE of the following have the option of upgrading to P51B's:

P26
P36
P39D
P40B
P40E
P40N
P38G
P38J
P47C
P47D

Looks like it. I've never noticed it before, but you're right...

I've found the reason, I think. Not a single reinforcement unit arrives with P-51B's, and that's one of the prerequisites for being able to upgrade to a type.

speedy , don't forget that only 5 ? planes along the path are shown. If you are at the early war, P51's don't show as replacments iirc.

I sisncerely hope that i'm right or [:(] [:-][8|]...

You're not right, I'm afraid... In a PDU game, you're able to see all types an aircraft can be upgraded to, and you CAN see the P-51D. It's borked...

I can not find any either that will upgrade to P51B. I have checked all my units and I am in late 44.
