You could have at least not edited the screen shots, so that I would know exactly where to send my boys.[:D]

Love the screen shots though. I have not figured that out.

Turn is in the mail.

Screenshots; hit print screen-key in game, then multitask out to any paint program like windows paint for example. Open a new image there and choose "paste". Then save it like a jpg, and you can attach it to your post here.

as a matter of fact I have a screenshot for you right here...just to show you what a narrow escape one of my RAF base forces had from the vile Japs...one turn later and they would have been dead or on bridge-building detail at the River Kwai [8D]

The era of procrastination, of half-measures, of soothing and baffling expedients, of delays, is coming to a close.
In its place we are entering a period of consequences..

Not sure why you could not get a email through, it showed 21% full. That's 3 turns.

Those dang Aussies are still holding out at Mersing.[:@] That is throwing me off my schedule. The Dutch torpedo planes have finally scored, but after my troops made it ashore. I pounded alot of ships in the lower DEI area today.[:D] But if my operation does not succeed VERY soon, I will have to pull back. Victoria Point fell today. my forces have moved into Alo Star to begin pounding the Brits there.

In the PI region, nothing much has changed. Moving forces around and resting up for the push.

RE: Panzerjaeger vs 2ndAcr Lemurs' Scen 26

Post by 2ndACR »

Finally my operation has born fruit! Both Kendari and Ambonia have been captured. Of course both took heavy damage (seems to be the way my luck is going). Gonna take about a week to fix them up for a/c.

But the best news is Kendari has enough fuel and supplies to refuel and rearm my CV task force that has just dropped the last of its offensive weapons. With these 2 bases not only do I have a forward supply base, once I am able to base my Nells there I can move my CV's to where they may be needed. Panzer tried to disrupt the Kendari landings with a surface force, he managed to sink an AP and bang up a couple of others.

Looks like the evil Panzer has moved the other Aussie Brigade into Mersing to try and hold the door open. Going to have to get some help in there to force that door closed.
I have paid to high a price not to take this base. I have had quite a few ships lost or banged up to just let him keep it. At Alo Star a bombardment caused heavy casualties among his defenders there.

In the PI, Naga is still holding out. This is starting to irritate me to no end. 2 full divisions on the ground and they can not force the issue. In the north, I have advanced towards Clarke.

At the moment these are the only active areas of operations. Supply/fuel are being moved forward for my next Major Operation. Ships are being shuffled forward. KB is almost fully stocked with planes and pilots. Soon they will set sail and see what kind of trouble they stir up.

Well, I must congratulate you on the capture of Kendari. I never saw that invasion fleet coming, in fact, the first indication I got was when your first troops stormed ashore. Had you arrived one turn later I would have had my destroyer force there waiting for you, because I did send them there to cover that avenue. The annoying part is that you drove straight through my defensive minefield at Kendari too without a scratch. Yes, thats right, there is a minefield right there. I'm just hoping that I can bag a CV or that Battleship that I see you are bringing in.

Anyway, the destroyers did a good job. 3 DDs sinking 2 APs and damaging another. Kinda typical that they arrived a turn too late though.

But at least my reinforcements made it to Mersing in time. You will have a hard time prying up the door to Singapore now after I rushed another Aussie Brigade AND a Malay Brigade there. After I figured out you wont be attacking down the east coast of Malaya I figured I'd put the troops stationed there to use.

And Im still holding in the PI, Naga will cost you alot, I think youve lost several thousand men already due to the coastal guns there and I have two divisions in place now. Maybe you will start paying soon for spreading so thin all across the PI and DEI.

MINEFIELD!!!!!!!! YIKES!!!!!!! Can I please have my turn back to re-do? Pretty please??

Houston we may have a problem. I sent my MSW's to the wrong base!!! I guessed wrong.
This may hurt alot. I will show you no mercy if I get a scratch on one of my CV's. I will unleash KB on you and the full force of what is left of my BB's (you banged up a couple) to ravage your forces (not that I won't anyway). [:D]

I have not quite figured out how my transports beat my surface combat TF to Kendari.[&:]
Luckily, my troops unloaded before you shot up my transports.

Ah, Naga will fall soon. You have yet to feel the full might I have available there. And you may get a surprise or 2 in Malaya.[:D]

Anyway, what is hurting me most right now is the subs parked off San Fransisco, well, maybe they are not hurting, but they are scaring me. For example I had Saratoga move from [Classified] to [Classified] and her path took her directly through your hunting grounds...with only one CL as escort...you can believe that there was some tension on the bridge at that time. Now her entire airwing is doing ASW duty somewhere between Pearl and the West Coast. Btw, I know where your carriers are...do you know where mine are? One thing that is easy to overlook after your opening is that I now have a larger Battleship fleet than you. Only question is where to employ it.

I do think you will be paying alot for all the simultaneous attack directions though. How much is it right now? 2 in the PI, 3 in the DEI and one in the SW pacific. I think it has stretched you thin, and I think my 3 destroyers getting good shots at your APs is an indication of that.

Really great game so far though [:)]

Bah!! Propaganda. You only know where a very small portion of my carriers are. [:-]

The southern DEI area is a small operation. Just setting up a patrol/early warning net.
I believe alot of the easy duck hunting of fleeing ships is winding down though. I still have about 7 large units uncommited. They are moving into position as we speak.[X(]

I too am enjoying the game. Only about 7 hours to go before I get the turn.

HOLY JUMPING FANNY MAE !!!!!!!

I got thrown back from Clarke airfield!!!![:@] I knew I should have rested up the 48th Division longer before sending them. And to add insult to injury, the dumb***es retreat the wrong dang way!! At least he took more losses than me, the only bright spot in the PI area except for some more ships getting pounded.

Then some smarty pants decides to bombard Tarawa and shoots up a supply convoy with 1 whole CA. I got something up my sleeve to prevent this from happening to often.[:-]

On a much HAPPIER note, I must report that my naval forces arrived safely into Kendari harbor with hitting a mine (I suspect propaganda here). We will see when they safely sail back out again. Once I finish consolidating Kendari, 'ol Panzer will be in deep doodoo.

In Malaya, Panzer has made a small miscalculation which he will hopefully pay dearly for next turn.[:D] Mersing is still being a pain in the backside and will not fall. Of course I have not pushed the issue too hard the last turn or two. I am slowly advancing in Burma, am consolidating in Tavoy awaiting supplies to move forward.

China still needs another week or so before I go on the push there.

Well, my little counterattack worked. I hope it bought me some time. I saw that one of your units had advanced ahead of all the others still in the beachead, and figured that it would be fatigued. Might make you less eager to advance too fast in the PI and buy me more time.

The strike at Tarawa...well it was just a lucky coincidence that your transports arrived at the same time. I thought I'd probe your defences in the area before you would be able to get your Nells there.

Well, two reasons. First because the opportunity presented itself, and I do think he will be more careful with his advances in teh future. Second because it causes more disruption and fatiuge for him to be retreaded and forced to hike back through the jungle, and it disrupts his timetable. And three, because it lets mepull back troops into Bataan, cant do that if there is a landcombat going on at Clark.

Well, someone got slick and ran a bombardment group into Tavoy and scored. But it is about the only thing that went his way today.

I think he is slowly trying to evac troops from the DEI. A couple of ships have been hit carrying troops.

In Malaya, his miscalculation has been that I would ignore the other side of the penninsula. I have cut due west across Malaya and cut off his northern forces. Now he has to decide wether to retreat from Mersing and save them, or hold on and lose them. I am continuing the pre attack bombardments of Alo Star.

In PI, more reinforcements arrive!! I will smash the allies now. Not alot happening.

In the southern DEI between Timor and Australia, I have a CV TF running amok amongst his shipping.
