in retaliation for the bombardment, and the state of my DDs, which were supposed to RV with a larger force wihcih included a BB, i intend to let loose every single AC i have at luga, and set them loose on naval attack and port attack, targeting shortland
i also intend to bring the carriers up again and hit shortland with everything they can muster, and possibly even Fortress Rabaul, with support from Long and medium range bombers from PM and Henderson
some of these last attacks were escorted by dozens of zeros and i WILL put a stop to it

ive ordered all M and L range bombers at henderson that cant hit rabaul to go on van attack, and ive ordered my Fortresses to hit rabauls airfield, and ive ordered ALL carriers to hit the airfield as well, and the torp bombers to hit the port
a convoy will arrive tomorow at munda carrying seabess, supplies, engineers and a garrisson
soon 2 convoys will head for brisbane and noumea, pick up army troops and take them to the canal and tulagi to take over the garrison, and the 1st marines and elements of the 2nd marines will prepare to hit Shortland, in about 1 month, with support from the base at munda, if it becomes operational
once the carriers hit rabaul, theyll head NE and hit the convoys from truk, and MAYBE hit truk itself...

more supplies and air support is on its way, and more troops will be airlifted from the garrison at Gili Gili
im not particularly worried about a counter attack at GG, or anywhere that matter, at least, not an amphib attack, due to the losses the japs have taken in trannys, and the fact that i have an ENORMOUS amount of airpower that can and is being unleashed from PM, and Henderson
also, a convoy of troops has just left brisbane, en route to henderson to drop off army defenders and begin prepaerations for the invasion of shortland, and buka, and possibly bouganville
shortland wioll be used as a bomber base, and buka as a fighter base to hit rabaul almost daily, and to eventually supoport the invasions of kavieng, and rabual
soon ill have the carriers withdraw temporarily to noumea, and then send them to hit Truk
