Scen 16 Yamamotos Prophecy

well my friends im back at it again and about to kik sum more jap tail [:D][8D]

as u can see ive selected scen 16 yamamotos prophecy

im of course playing the good guys again [8D]

the orders are -

1. hold PM
2. develop and hold gili gili
3. prep for invasion of the canal


the first things ive done are -

1. find out where my subs are and prep them to kik sum tail and sink sum japs
2. find out where my heavy hitters are
3. find sum engineers and troops

along with attritioning the enemy i intend to send my subs out with a VENGEANCE

also, to assist in the capture of the canal, i intend to establish a base to the southwest of the canal, either at rennel, or irau

irau is closer to the japs and of course would more easily be attacked by them

i want sumthing that will support heavy air operations, and b reasonably defended, and also not have too long a supply line

so i will be looking over the map very closely searching for a base, that will of course be heavily defended and have quite a few engineers on it to support the invasion

combat date - 4 june 1942

several convoys are forming up to rendevous at luganville

their ultimate destination, and the site for my forward base has been chosen - Rennel Island

i have unleahsed my subs on combat patrol, and i also have sum heading for luganville to support the invasion of the canal

i have sent fighters and bombers to PM

and 2 airstrikes have taken place against Lae

the results -

59 ac struck the first time, 64 the 2nd

5 ac damaged, 1 hudson shot down

130 japs killed oon the ground in both raids

16 airbase hits
58 ! runway hits [X(][&o]
airbase supply hits 2

no ac seen or damaged at lae, as a result, further strikes will be cancelled for the time being

there was also several strikes on PM

inlcuding this major strike-

51 !!!! zeros escorted 15 nells and hit pm with all their might, apparently lol

PM was defended by -

18 P40
18 P39 ? bug? unknown wat ac

anyway...


7 japs shot down, 5 damaged, with 10 allied damaged and 4 destroyed

and we captured Commander Koyono of the f1 tainan daitai [8D]

all of that...
and they only scored 2 airbase hits, no other damage reported......

combat date - 12 june 42 - updates will occur every 8 days or so

well alot has happened in the sopac

currently the score is 3102 - 1005 with the evil japs in the lead, but not for long....

17 allied ac have been lost in the campaign, and 42 japs, including - 21 zeros [:D]

2 ships have been sunk, numerous others damaged

ap daifuku maru - 500 pounder
s 39 - depth charge [&o][:(]

numerous raids have been made on pm, and a convoy, that TOOK gili gili, rest assured gg will not be enemy held for long....

several subs torpped a couple ships, including a tanker, with 1 torp, achieved by the ss greenling

several more senior officers have been captured in raids ovr PM [:D]

most of the ac losses for the japs have been of course, fighters and bombers over PM, and my fighters of course defending, and my bomers have been shot down of course attacking the jap convoy, 10 attacks have taken place thus far, resulting in about 10 ships being damaged, including the DD yayoi
