I will issue 7.691 microupdate within the hour. This mainly addresses Wake island invasion issues re 5 non EOS scenarios. It also adds/corrects some USN LSTs and one land HQ for Japan (in non-EOS scenarios for the latter). This is
7.691.
I plan to redo pwhex and the location file - and Cobra will match map art - for 7.70. Aden will move South one hex.
The map barrier "North" (actually East) of Madagascar will expand and the ship tracks will become more complex - and
cross connected. Amsterdam Island art will be added to the Southern route in hex 19/137. We may add Diego Garcia in a cross track. I think we can permit flights between Durban and Addu Atol as well as Diego Garcia - same distance.
We will permit ships to move NE from Madagascar (they cannot just now) - and come out not too far from Ceylon. I think we can add die Erste Monsoons (German subs in the Indian Ocean) at this time as well - midwar - based on Java and Penang Malaya.

Nothing. Existing games will continue to use existing units. New games will use the new ones. Only land units and naval units are affected - and very few of either.

RHSEOS 7.692 microupdate is uploaded. No other scenario is affected. It only relates to three ships - Chitose, Chiyoda and Nisshin - which should be CVL in EOS (and are in Levels 5 and 6). They already have CVL type air groups. This matches the ships with the air groups. This is technically historical insofar as all these ships were originally designed so they could be completed as CVL as one of several options: EOS just elected to take that option first (instead of second).

Technical update micro update 7.693 issued - eratta and slight enhancements. Expect one of these per day for two days then 7.70 with new maps and pwhex - and freezing.

I have connectivity problems. When these are solved I will upload x.695 comprehensive update.
It combines C/D type escorts into two ship units - creating slots - and adds all the German submarines in theater.
It addresses a number of eratta - mainly pointers - and also requires new Thai/German ship art. Level 7 still has more eratta than 5 and 6 do.

They do not enter at Tokyo UNLESS you never took Penang. Tokyo is default entry point if the primary one is not Japanese - in hard code - I cannot change that.
Area of entry is not possible - it is off the map. I elected to use Penang (Alor Star actually on our map). There is no Axis base in the right area - no slot for one - and nothing to make ops in that area work realistically. Do you want German subs in a one hex wide Allied shipping channel? Do you want the Allies to capture the base - and kill all German reinforcements - or rather send them all to Tokyo?

I agree with you but could be possible to make a independent "Only-Axis" channel with a german U-boats entry point ? Excuse me if the question could be stupid, it´s only an idea, i have not edit acknowledge to know about it.

There will be another pwhex version for Level 7 only tomorrow - adding another access path - and possibly cross channels
It isn't possible to move Aden to 1/15 due to a hard code issue (Nothing in column works base wise)
New map art will follow - but isn't required for things to work

First, there are no proper Allied bases able to contest entry in the Atlantic area - and no forces for them. As Joe Wilkerson said - a good point to STOP expanding war in the Pacific is the Atlantic! We only have LOGISTIC access in the Atlantic - not operating forces.
Second, AI will not understand such a base - and many players let AI run Japan - while some no doubt let it run the Allies.
We would generate a can of worms with it in such games.
Third, I have no slots for more bases - every change requires killing something.
Fourth, operations in the channels in that area would not be realistic. We do allow ops in the multiple channels EAST of Madagascar - but that is different - because there are several (we are adding more right now) - and because various bases and naval air units can operate in range of them. ONE channel would be too restrictive - and for both sides - and the situation of an Allied dominated South Atlantic does not apply here because there is no way to work the base structure - and what bases we have are spread across the whole map bottom.
I have adopted the standard that we draw the line at the Madagascar and Panama mini map edges - and we barely can do those properly. Sorry - but
WITP II might tie into a War in Europe and the dual game might be up to doing this well. If it happens.

IN capetown or Durban I can not remember now, the AV Albatross (RN) is classified like SHIP TYPE "NONE", when click over her the game crash.

I have confirmed this is CTD bug and I have reported it to Sid
cause Albatross set up as ship but the matching class has not been set up
it is based at Durban so until fixed do not look at it
