Brits push into northern Italy - Germans take heavy losses. At this point the Luftwaffe has disappeared under the weight of allied airpower. Germany is in big trouble.

The Japanese air force is still massive and they are driving on Burma, trying to slide around the flank of the British army in north India/south China. The lack of supply rules in this scenario make it very easy to manuever at will and the Japanese are taking advantage of that. Brits have been unable to get airbases in Asia because there are no engineers in this scenario to repair damaged cities. Thus every possible airbase is damaged other than Mombay in India. I'm not willing to operate the RAF out of damaged airfields so my aircover is limited. :(

USSR Turn 17

The combined forces of the allied armys have got the Germans standing on there last legs.

Soviet Front line commanders are reporting that most German ranks are being filled by old men and boys... Soviet troops have taken a number of Hitler youth knives as trophies.

Zukov has reported to Stalin that Leningrad will soon be back in allied hands.

USSR Turn 17

Japanese forces are still quit strong in the East, but they are unable to expand and appear to be contained.
Allied pressure is starting to increase as the war in Europe is starting to take less of a toll on the Allies.

Soviet forces find large numbers of Japanese aircraft based in Yakut... A soviet air strike on the city destroyes some, but our losses are about 50 - 60% higher... It was an expensive battle. I expect the air units will retreat East rather than risk being overun by a Soviet assault on the city.

The Japanese have a lot of air left but have lost a lot due to flak and being bombarded on islands in the Pacific by the RN. They are being pushed back and the Phillipines along w/ New Guinea have now been taken.

USSR Turn 20

In the West soviet forces have been trading blows with the Germans the last 2 turns. The Ukraine has been lost then recaptured once and Leningrad has been captured and lost twice. Currently it is under German control.

In the East japanese air power has wiped out mulitple advances on Yakut and are currently holding Soviet forces at bay.

I will attempt a shift in tactics this turn and go for Sikang this round instead of Yakut. Japanese forces down there are very busy trying to hold back the Brits and may find it difficult to deal with both of us. If nothing else it will take some of the heat off of the Brits and allow them to make better progress into China the next couple of rounds.
