Hello Bombur!

Actually, you already used Horses as Mobilizers - when you made Cavalry ...
So individual mounts are covered - now Wagons need to be adressed too.

Actually, the fact that you put Cavalry in led me to peek into your Mod and look for those Wagons in the first place ... [:D]

Cheers!

Ok...right, by I don´t intend cavalry to work simply as mobilizer. These are mounted rifle squads with high mobility and better recon values. Will will need the horses (we can call the wagons...I can do this change) to carry equipment (like mortars or guns). Do you have any other suggestion for the mod?

-Created more units: Armored car III and Large Cargoship
-Fixed the movement rate of Cargoships II and III (they were set as fast warships...)

Broke the magical "100 units" barrier. Now, I have almost all of pre WWII units ready. Anew version will be uploaded this weekend. A Human vs. Human test is running.

Looking forward to your mod when it comes Bombur. I am thinking that i might use it when i create scenarios. Instead of creating new SFT:s each time i make a scenario i could load your mod. Set the research to the correct date and then carry on.

That´s one of the purposes of this mod, hopefully it will work as platform for other scenarios.

You are welcome to using some of my SFT: pictures from my WWII scenario if youd like. Might spare some time looking for all those pics.

A proposal to Vic: Why not release this, and other, master files as part of the vanilla game? That way, you get a set of "official" master files which makes life easier for scenario designers.

Any masterfile being made "official" implies a high degree of quality, completeness, resolution of legal issues, legally-obtained pictures, etc. I know that my own masterfile could never be sold as part of a commercial product.

It seems this has never been a huge issue for TOAW. Maybe different for AT? Also, I was not implying an increased retail price for added master files, specially since exactly the same information is included in any scenario distributed with the product, or, for example, from the scenario bank. It was a humble proposal to make lifer easier on the hard working scenario makers.

This is the way TOAW has worked for a long time. As scenarios, and in later releases databases, reach the level at which they are considered "complete", they have been added to the release package of the product.

Also, did you put your masterfile in the scenario bank? If yes, it is part, if not sold as a part of, a commercial product [;)]

-Thank you, I will try to expand my mod to reach the 80´s. What takes most time is the time I spent to study the evolution of naval warfare, in order to create the new units. A WWIII expansion would be a big challenge, since USSR and USA had very different units. While the USA, for instance, had nothing similar to a Backfire armed with long range cruise missiles, or pure interceptors like the MIG-25/31, the USSR lacked specialized combat helicopters like the Apache, Aircraft carriers and naval aircraft. But I think I can deal with this.

If eventually my mod became well accepted, I would be happier if Vic added some features of the new advanced masterfile to it.

Per PM exchange with Bombur, I've moved this mod to the sandbox. I also chagned the name from from .11 to .12, to match the zip file.
