ORIGINAL: Ketza

Supply/rail usage has been a weak part of my game. here is my plan for AGN/AGC rails. This shows progress after turn 2.

Yeah, u need to plan that better and make ur pockets on turn 1 accordingly IMO. U defernatly need a RR going N to help on advance to Leningrad. If i were u i would sit down and look at possible avenues for RRs before a future game. My bet as of now is that by turn 8-10, ur 1 or 2 turns behind what is possible. Well N u have no RR so u cant really say there.
I thot the way u formed the routs was very neat, but I has to question. How much does the current set up hurt ur ability to HQBU later on doing more pockets down the line. Is it worth to lose a turn or 2 hurting later HQBU abilties to capture a few units more in the first turns. Can u combine the 2, great.
IMO its just as importand to form the pockets on turn 1 that the FDB units can repair as much as possible on turn 2-3. This means clearing, but just as much keep enemy unit for taking back the hexes on which ur RR will run. Dont forget to use the baltic bonus too [;)]

Kind regards,

Rasmus

Is there any way that we could see this AAR completed?

Ketza is known to be one of the best Axis players, and, WITE is known to be very tough on the Axis chances for a win.

This game ended awhile ago I think because of a patch. I almost started another with my current game against Bomazz but figured he would shut me down quickly. To my surprise I am making a little headway!

Thanks for the response, K-man.

I'm going to try your Axis opening plan in a future game vs. the AI. I have owned this game for years, but, only got around to playing it a little over a month ago.

I've read the Changes List at the back of the manual, and, it seems to me that this AAR's Axis opening is still valid, despite game changes/mods since 2011. Do you agree with this assessment?

I have changed a few things but mostly the opening is still sound. Against a good Soviet opponent there is not a lot options even with the best opening but its still fun to try :)
