I agree with the idea of platoon vs platoon. A one on one tank battle often turns into pure luck, rather than the skill of the commander. As for scouts, of any kind, I say no. This was conceived as a way to find the "Top Tank" and driver, not the best SP:WAW player. If we allow scouts, then what kind of scouts? Where do we draw the line then? No, let it be a purely tank battle.

This is what I said a while back. Armor tacticians specifically try to avoid one-on-one encounters and generally don't like to fight in less than platoon sized groups.

Were do we stand ?

We seem to have stalled in the setup.

A 30th April date was suggested for end of sign up and that is approaching at a great rate of knots.

My two cents are as follows.
A single platoon of tanks, Easy 8's v"S Tiger 1.
15 Turns
Knockout competition
Keep it simple. (Kill tanks only, capture V hexs?)

Lets get this going now or it will fizzle out before it started.

All the Kat drivers should go at each other with Kats, until we find the best. The same goes for the M6ers. Any idea of map size?

I was thinking we could all use the same map for all the fights and it might be a good idea for one person to handle the Amrican side and a Kat person to handle that side until we reach the end.

Any thoughts?

I think that given the size of the combat force then it should be a small map.

If we all ask nicely, then maybe Lars could help us out with the set up.

Hey jphamel could you list those that you have on board as of now thanks.

I aggree, a small map is fine and either two sections of armor or one platoon. But what type german armor ? Big kats only ? I would think that only leaves panthers, and tigers. Or is it anything under 88mm ?:p No v-hexs points. I would think who ever had the last tank alive or most tanks left at the end of the game would win. Only use center v-hex as a focus point to travel to. Maybe start on any road and have to travel to that v-hex until enemy has been spotted, then they can engage the Enemy. Waiting to hear final call about type of armor.
