Yes, they have originaly 9 stacking points I think. It was changed 10 in the matrix development of the game. It is not documented in the manual. Cavarly tank armies have 10 stacking points as do panzer korps/tank army/ shock army. I think it would have been difficult to give them less stacking points from the coding part of it.

10 Stacking points? Really? Nice! Wow, that changes everything in my plan - I only ever put 3 Mech/Tank units in my Pz/Tank armies just to keep my readiness up as far as possible just in case one of my boys gets in trouble and out of supply. And I kept my Shock Armies at 9 stacking just to avoid pesky resupply, especially now since I wanna PBEM with some of you gentlemen eventually and I'm sure Mule-ing ain't ever allowed.

An all-out assault was launched on Kiev, which held on after numerous assaults failed during the week. Penetrations of the city perimeter were made, but the last defenders held on to the city center. Otherwise, units were rearranged in preparation for the coming winter.

The heroic defenders of Kiev got huge reinforcements directly from the main reserves. We saw the totaly exhausted german soliders cry as they saw the reinforcement of hundreds of tanks and tenthousands of fresh man.

Stavka has deceided that the central army group has to be destroyed this winter. Soviet troops closed in for the kill and followed the german retreat a few weeks ago. All 3 tank armies have been moved to the front near smolensk to make a succesfull breakthrough very early. The red air force deployed elite lagg-3 fighters that were in reserve so far.

We await only general Winter to give a sign and the great winter offense will begin!

No losses this week.

The Luftwaffe attempted an air strike, but were swamped by massive numbers of enemy fighters. Although enemy losses were twice ours in magnitude, their factories are doing a much better job of replacing losses and so this air battle much be considered a disaster.

Meanwhile, ground combat in the form of rearguards caused the enemy advance to suffer heavy losses, but no real results.

Luftwaffe is big and strong for the first reason. Secondly it does NOT nearly show all my armies:) There is some more:) And you can see all enemy hq's as default in your turn.

And I saved the screen and pasted it, but did not study it, so whatever is not in the front lines is vague in my mind, as recon shows many of the rear units anyway. I know where the tank armies are already!

The Axis soldiers, victorious in every battle to date in the war in the east, are dug in and prepared for the hordes of the east to attack. However, comparative weakness in the air is of great concern, along with weather forecasts of record blizzards approaching.

The soviet attacks began with great strength, but sadly with even more uncoordination. As result the enemy was not hit strongly enough most of the time. Still we reestablished the Dnepr line in the south and our tank armies forced several enemy korpses to retreat in the Smolensk area. We will have to spend some more time with troop drills:( To make things even worst the weather softened at the end of the week.

The Luftwaffe struck back at nearby Soviet fighter strips, destroying a number of planes on the ground and more in the air. Losses were heavy but worthwhile. Meanwhile, the ground forces struck at enemy tank armies but at heavy cost and without effective results. And reports of coming heavy snowfall, worse than the disasters of the previous week, are pouring in from Norway and Denmark.

The next month appears to be very grim.

First german soliders are captured and they are going to Siberia!

Our tank armies continued their assault despite the mild weather near Smolensk. The german infantry korps threatening Smolensk where first cut off then it faced 3 tank armies all alone and wisely deceided to surrender.

Great succes in the south as well as the heroic city of Kiev was helped greatly by a succesfull attack. Now the red army has a bridgehead over the Dniepr adjecent to Kiev. The germans can attack from 3 way only not 4. And german troops near Dnepropetrovsk were quickly informed by our propaganda machine that there is a soviet bridgehead in their back:)

Blizzard has arrived again at the end of the week.

The full strength winter offense of the red army has began. In the centre the tank armies have overrun all german resistance they met as expected. The enemy was driven back from the Smolensk area, as the german infantry fleed from the tank armies. We expect the tank armies to shatter several retrating german infantry korpses next week. The river line south of Smolensk is broken through at several places as well.

In the north the campaign for the recapture of Lenningrad has began as well. The german river line is broken through at 2 places.

In the south there is only one enemy korps is adjecent to Kiev, all others were forced to retreat. A shock army arrived to the railroad heading to Dnepropetrovsk. Near Dnepropetrovsk the river line was broken through shattering the defending panzer korps. Our troops crowned the week by recapturing Dnepropetrovsk.

Although losses were heavy, our forces continue the fight against the Bolshevik hordes pressing on them from the east. And the Luftwaffe flew through blizzards and bombed the airfields of the Moscow front, causing losses to the enemy. Meanwhile, the soldiers continue to dig in and stay warm.

After the german lines were softened last week the real massacre has began. The retreating troops were hit hard and many german korps shattered/surrendered. No axis troops survived in the Dnepropetrovsk area, and the tank armies run beserk in the central area. Axis losses are huge.
