A small IJN ASW TF locates and attacks SS Spearfish. Unfortunately no hits were reported... BUt at least my ASW is keeping the pressure on his subs between Borneo, Thailand and the Philippines.
IJ troops land at Sarmi.
A bombing raid on Rangoon of 53 Sallies and met by 14 Buffalos. The Sallies push through the useless fighters and bomb the airfields. They claim 1 Buffalo, 2 Blenheims, 6 airbase, 4 supply, 49 runway and 12 men. A dozen Sallies were damaged in the raid - but none lost.. A good raid !
More chinese were bombed by my planes, adding to both my points and their experience; 71 men and 2 guns were claimed. Arty strikes in china claim 160 men and 3 gun.
IJN SS I-21 locates 2 allied ships and hits TK Larry Doheny with a single torpedo. Unfortunately AVD Ballard and the TK escape further injury and will probably make port.
Another attack on the isolated chinese corps causes 400 losses for IJA and 470 chinese. I got 56:1 odds this time.. they have to break soon...
In the Philippines my men attacked Naga and were beat up badly. 1200 IJA losses to 100 Philippino. Arty strikes at Clark claim 214 men, 10 guns and 1 vehicle.

My ASW efforts continue to locate enemy subs, but I cannot seem to hurt them [:@] Oh well.. At least I know where they are.
IJN SS I-155 finds AK Steel Inventor and puts a torpedo into her. Unfortunately the AK escapes without further damage.
Air raids in china claim 124 chinese and 3 guns.
Damn Dutch bombers from Balikpapin appear at Tarakan and put a torpedo into an IJN TK. The tanker was unloading fuel and nearly empty, but the hit is serious.
My men attack the cutoff chinese corps again and get 241:1 odds, yet no chinese surrender [:@] Argh.. they can't have much left.
My men capture Sarmi without any real combat and Makale falls into my hands for free [:D]
That is about all that happened on the 7th. Nothing much of all happened on the 8th other than some arty and air strikes so we will skip that turn as well.

More IJN ASW attacks - this time I actually hit a dutch sub - K-8 with 2 depth charges. Hopefully the sucker will sink before making port.
A bold air raid on Diamond Harbor by 23 Nells find 3 enemy AKs there and hits them each with a single bomb. 1 Nell fails to return and 9 are damaged.
Air raids on chinese troops claim 31 men and 0 guns. Arty raids at Yenen claiom 84 chinese; while arty raids at Ichang claim 61 men and 1 gun.
Finally my continued attacks against the surrounded chinese corps pays off with the 57th Chinese Corps surrendering - 12,779 men and 42 guns are killed or taken prisoner ! A nice day's work.
Arty attacks on Luzon claim 48 men at Manilla and 98 men (4 guns) at Clark Field.

An IJN ASW TF just arrived in Tarakan for refuelling and supplies when an allied surface TF shows up. The 2 TFs clash at night for a couple rounds of combat. In the end the Allied TF retreats back to Balikpapin. The Allies lose DD Stewart to a few shell and a single torpedo hit. The allied CLs pound on IJN DD Yamagumo and PGs Hashidate & Kiso Maru - but no IJN ship sinks[:D] 1 DD and 4 PGs are beat up but I call the battle a victory.
More air attacks in china claim 36 Chinese.
ANother round of combat in china destroys the 89th Chinese Corps as another 10,613 men and 28 guns are either captured or destroyed. Another nice point boost [:D]
And one of my secret Ops reveals itself - unfortunately it only catches 3 AKs.. I have several CVs between Pearl and the West Coast looking for crips to sink. They found 3 AKs heading toward the coast and sunk them easily. Intel reports they were not carrying anything of value. By the number of planes involved Oli knows I have several CVs in the area - while he bring out his own CVs to play ?
My Betties at Tarakan attack the allied Surface TF from the previous battle, but since the AF is only size 3 they carry bombs and cannot hit anything with them - if only they had torps - I probably would have claimed 2 CLs
Near Muntok (1 hex east of Palembang) my Nells from Kuching detect a few TKs and attack. 4 TKs are hit with at least 1 torpedo each. All survived the attack and will probably limp into Palembang port.
IJN troops land at Dadjangas.

The turn started with IJN SS I-7 surfaces and hammers AK Barbara Olson. She lands 6 gun hits and a single torpedo. The AK somehow survives - at least for now.
A lone Allied PT boat showed up at Dadjangas to interfer with the landing there and gets hammered with 3 shells and quickly explodes and sinks.
53 IJA Sallies bomb Chungking claiming 11 hits on the resources. 2 Sallies were lost and 4 damaged.
Air raids in china claim 29 chinese.
The last chinese corps (the 51st) surrender to my overwhelming forces. My men capture 6509 men and 40 guns.
My IJN troops sieze Dadjangas without a fight.
In Luzon my arty strikes at Clark Field claim 396 men and 12 guns.
PG Kiso - mauled in the last turn by allied CLs succumbs to the damage and sinks in Tarakan harbor.

And now we are current...
The turn starts with another depth charge hit on dutch sub K-18 near Tarakan.
A large IJN TF shows up at Menado and hammers the base. Enemy losses are reported at 129 men, 2 guns and 2 vehicles, as well as 4 airbase, 5 supply, 29 runway and 31 port hit. 3 T.IVa and 1 Martin 139s are caught on the ground. The IJN TF consists of 2 BBs, 2 CAs and 4 DDs.
Another TF arrives behind the Bombardment TF and lands troops at the base.
Another large IJN TF arrives at Palembang looking for enemy TKs.. Only 1 (Empire Bronze) is found and quickly sunk. The IJN TF consists of 4 BBs, 4 CAs and 4 DDs.
Several baby CVs arrive off the coast of Borneo and launches air strikes on ships near Palembang. Unfortunately only 1 single TK is found and hammered by a score of Kates. TK Talang Akar is pummeled beneath the waves before it reaches Palembang.

A better turn for the Japanese...
The turn starts badly for the IJN as I-7, which has been cruising North and East of Hawaii since the war started, is located and attacked. Report indicate 3 depth charges hit her causing critical damage.
My Bombardment TF at Menado opened fire on the defenders again inflicting a total of 4 airbase, 3 runway, 1 port and 5 supply hits. They also claim 39 men and 1 gun.
My Bombardment TF at Palmebang opens fire on the oil rich base and scores some good hits as well. 4 P-40Es are claimed as well as 7 airbase, 73 runway, 5 port, 3 fuel and 15 supply hits. Also 3 TKs in port are hit repeatedly and are aflame. Also, nearly 1200 enemy troops are claimed alont with 22 guns and 9 vehicles.
Another Bombardment TF lights up Baker Island. This TF consists of 2 BB, 3 CA and 6 DDs. The shelling claims 9 airbase, 40 runway, 5 port, 4 fuel and 21 supply hits. I was not sure if Oli managed to land any troops here or not, so I wanted to give them a warm reception if he had.
In the air, my baby KB near Palembang launches several strikes at the port. In all 3 TKs are hit, with the TK Iris comfirmed sunk in port. The zero escorts also claim 3 P-40Es shot down. My loses were 1 Val and 1 Kate, with another 2 and 10 damaged respectively.
Troops landing at Menado captured the base in a shock attack. Over 4100 dutch troops were killed / captured, alont with 7 guns. Less than 20 IJA troops were wounded. Also on the AF at Menado, 2 Martin 139s and 3 T.IVas were destroyed.
IJ troops also captured Cotabato and Polmala - both against no enemy troops. Troops landing on Baker Island also captured it without any combat.
Also, TK Larry Doheny, which was hit by an IJN sub a few days ago sinks just SW of Pearl. Intrl reports she was carrying a full load of fuel.

Well the 14th was very quiet.. You can almost say nothing happened... Other than some normal air and arty raids nothing happened.
In china air and arty raids claim 255 men and 9 guns. At Ichang my arty strikes claim 43 men. At Yenen another 80 men and 1 gun was claimed.
In Luzon, my arty strikes at Manilla claim 21 men; they claim 21 men and 2 guns at Naga; and at Clark, 250 men, 7 guns and 1 vehicle was reported destroyed.
At Rangoon my 1 Division there atatcked with arty only claiming 113 brits and 1 gun. The rest should arrive for full assault next turn.
Jan 15th
Air strikes in China claim 110 chinese troops despite the appearance of the AVG flying CAP. Other strikes in China claim 155 men and 1 gun. Arty strikes at Yenen claim 66 enemy troops. While the arty strikes at Ichang claim 121 men.
In Malaysa, air strikes on Kuala Lumpar claim 106 men and 1 gun from the SSVF Brigade - the only real defender of the base.
In Luzon, my arty strike on Manilla claims only 11 men.. Not much left here to kill, but the city defense bonus is keeping me from attacking yet. At Naga, my men claim 23 enemy troops in the arty strike. At Clark Field my arty claim 134 men and 6 guns.. Soon Clark will be ready to fall.
At Rangoon, my divisions attacked against the weakened british positions. In a quick battle, Rangoon was captured with 5906 british troops, 6 guns and 1 vehicle killed or captured. The 103rd RN Base Force and the Rangoon Force are no more. I also caught a lot of Buffalo fighters on the ground.. Combat reports say 13 Buffalo were caught on the ground, but Intel reports (aircraft losses) show 25 were lost on the ground this turn). So perhaps I completely wiped out an air group.. possibly.. [:D] Now to give the engineers a day or two to repair the base and I'll be basing bombers out of there - Burma is cut off from the sea - or at least I can now strike at any RN TFs moving about with my LR bombers.
My CV TF near the west coast has found some more targets for my overabundance of bombs and torpedoes... Near Seattle / Vancouver, my recon planes spot an enemy TF. AT least 5 ships were spotted on intel, including an APD - but only 4 MSWs were spotted.. All four took multiple hits and all were easily sunk. No planes were lost in the attacks.

Quick Update
Well I am at work and have not posted any news for 5 days or so of the war and a lot has happened... all of it good for the Japanese [:D] I'll give you guys a few tidbits now and go into more length later.
First of all my CV off the West Coast..
I was thinking about a quick air raid on one of the US coastal cities - my preference was for San Fran to damage the repair yards there.. I had my glen equipped subs run some recon over the US cities and they ran into hordes of fighter CAP. At least 30+ fighters on CAP duty over each city.. 1 Glen was lost in this maneuver. I'm glad I scouted first, his CAP would have made things difficult on any air raids.. So I cruised south along the coast looking for something to throw bombs and torpedoes at... and my glen scored a recon hit... a nice fat TF heading west towards PH... My CVs raced south and bagged a nice undefended US TF of 8 or so large AKs.. The best part was that they will overflowing with American Troops [:D] In fact the entire 111th RCT is now at the bottom of the Pacific. A couple planes were damaged in the raids, but none were lost. A great day for the IJN.
A couple days later my subs located another US TF sprinting for PH. My CV TF caught them easily and sunk them as well. Another 7 or so large AKs go to the bottom and they were full of troops as well [:D] Intel reports the 51st Base Force is no more. I cannot tell if any of them were left at home (and will eventually fill out), but I doubt it. So I have wiped out 2 entire units with my bold move off the west coast - the kills have easily outweighed the risk and fuel expenditures.
In Malaya the IJA was not to be outdone by the recent successes of the IJN. In bitter rivalry they closed the road to Singapore with a single Bde at Malacca and in one day captured both Malacca and Kuala Lumpur. The battle was quick and only 6-700 IJA troops were wounded. In the end over 22,000 British and Indian Troops were killed or captured - 3 entire Indian Bdes, the SSIV, 2 ISV Base Forces and a RN and RAF Base Force were wiped out. With these recent successes here I feel Singapore should fall much earlier than historical - I have destroyed a good chunk of the allied forces in Malaysa which usually retreat back to Singapore. Intel also shows only a couple units between me and Singapore now.
The RN showed up off the coast of Burma as well. I spotted them 300 miles off shore but for some reason no naval strikes were launched. I assumed he would bombard Rangoon since I just took it.. but he hit Moulmein instead. Luckily I had moved most of my aircraft to adjoining airfields in an attempt to protect them and he mostly caught only zeros on the ground. I was happy thinking my Betties / Nells would hammer his TF.. but no.. The stupid RN found a convenant cloud to hide under and escaped despite 100+ naval bombers waiting for a recon report. Oh well.. Can't be lucky all the time.
I will post more indepth reports over the holiday weekend.

after a few violent turns a slow one
Xargun has killed an inf regiment and an base force....along with 15 AK's in the 7000's class.
now his West Coast CV Tf is gone heading for fuel and coming back I assume.
he is close at the doors from singapore now
I try to reinforce my bases but progress is slow. he seems to be everywhere.

RE: Jan 21st, 1942
whilest the one TF near the West Coast removed he moved in another one...cant say how much CV's are involved there..I see 1 CV strikes only ( he sunk an already empty Convoy ) it may be a trap for my CV's. I sunk 2 AKS esat of Menado - foolish move to sent in material unescorted while force Z is still in the area...
January '42 Update
well its been almost a month since Oli or I have posted and we are drudging along in our game. We are in mid Feb and I will bring you all up to date on the war actions...
January Recap
IJN CVs between Hawaii and the West coast bag another US convoy. In all 15 US large AKs are found and provide nice target practive for my bomber pilots. Over 3 days all 15 AKs are located and sunk, sending what I can tell the 111th US RCT to a watery grave, as well as the 51st Base Force. A nice job by my IJN bombers - although the zero pilots are jealous as they have had nothing to shoot down.
B-25C Mitchells from Pearl locate my CVs and launch a strike. Luckily the B-25s are not that accurate. 30 B-25s escorted by 8 P-40Bs attack. 32 Zeros meet them in the skies above my TF. 4 P-40Bs and 4 B-25Cs are shot down by fighters and flak with another dozen B-25s damaged. The bombers went straight for my CVs. Luckily they all missed, although 1 bomb exploded close aboard to cause some minor fires which were quickly put out on the Zuikaku - she is still able to move and conduct air operations without any hinderance.
After a couple days of rest, the IJN CVs were once more prowling the waters between Pearl and the West Coast... and a nice fat target was found.. On Jan 24th, recon aircraft spotted an allied TF heading for Pearl - the CVs were sent in at flank speed. On the 25th, they spotted the ships within range and launched 2 air strikes on them. The only ships spotted both times were the BBs New Mexico and Mississippi. The New Mexico took 2 bomb and 7 torpedo hits and rolled over and broke apart. The Mississippi took an even 5 bomb and 5 torpedo hits and broke apart as well. 2 More US BBs sunk [:D] You gotta love that !
While heading West to refuel, my CVs spotted another TF and struck. This small TF was overwhelmed by my planes and we claimed a single DD and 1 AP, although another AP and 2 AKs were damaged. The DD Reid and AP Henderson were confirmed sunk. No men were on board as far as I could tell.
LBA based in Borneo were finally able to spot a nice sized allied DD TF that has been harrassing my subs in the DEI. Nells from Kuching launched and found them ! 5 of the 7 DDs were struck by torpedoes; the DDs Parrott and Buler were confirmed sunk. This should give some new life into my subs operating around Batavia and Palembang.
IJN ASW efforts score some small victories and damage 1 Dutch sub as well as sink 1 US sub.
The IJA was not idle during these 2 weeks either. They pushed ahead on all fronts securing the following bases: Makin Island, Malacca, Kuala Lumpur, Wallis Island, Mersing and Tumini. At Kuala Lumpur numerous allied units were cut off and destroyed. The 1st & 2nd ISV Brigades; the 6, 15 and 28 Indian Brigades; as well as the 109 & 111 RN AF Base Forces. Over 22,000 men, 40 guns and 2 vehicles were destroyed along with a sizable chunk of the Malayian defenders. At Mersing the 109th RAF Base Force was destroyed - 2100 men, 4 guns and 1 vehicle were destroyed.
IJN Ships Lost
PG Muro was lost in port from previous combat damage
TK Nisshi was lost in port from previous combat damage
A good couple weeks here with very few ships lost and all from previous combat damage. No IJN ships took any real damage during this time either.
Allied Victories
Allied ASW find and sink 2 I-class subs and damage a third.
Force Z appeared from nowhere to pound Menando. The force pummeled the men and aircraft I had just moved there. ANd to make the matter worse, Force Z intercepted 2 AKs heading there carrying fuel and supplies for the new base. Both were easily sunk. [:@]
The allied victories were small and overshadowed by their losses between Pearl and the West Coast.

February Update
We are currently on Feb 14th, so I will bring you up to speed on what has happened from the 1st through the 13th.
IJN CVs between Pearl & West Coast
Have been withdrawn. I have done enough damage and the ships are low on fuel, air ordnance and collecting SYS damage. Time to go home for some refits.
Nells from Kuching launched a second strike at the allied ASW DD TF and claim DDs Paul Jones and Edsall. That sinks 4 of the 7 ships. Much better [:)]
A surprise port raid on Balikpapin finds a lot of allied PT boats in port. A combination of Mary DBs and Betty bombers hammer and sink 7 allied PTs. These suckers are easy to kill when tied up alongside a pier [:D] I like it that way - can't kill them otherwise.
Bombers from Rangoon spot and visit a small RN TF approaching Akyab. The bombers concentrated on the RN CLAA Caledon sinking her, as well as scoring a couple hits on DD Nestor and AK Helios. I believe Oli was a victim of the game here as he says he did not order that fleet to set sail - and I believe him. He knows I have LR Bombers at Rangoon and to bring such a small TF within range is suicide. He says he may have found the problem and fixed it.. I can only think he had some command on Computer control or was using auto-convoy (both a big mistake in a PBeM game).
IJN ASW efforts damage 1 Dutch sub and sink another.
IJN AK Kazuura was struck by several bombs while dropping off supplies at a base in Borneo. She is minorly damaged and will survive - but about 1/4 of the supplies were lost in the resulting fires.
My ground forces continue on the offensive capturing Funafuti Island, Andaman Island, Nukufetau Island, Emirau Island, Sag Sag and Kavieng. The 106th RN Base Force has finally been run down in Borneo and destroyed since fleeing Brunei in the first couple days of the war.
Singapore Still Stands
Singapore still stands, but she stands alone in Malaysia. I am conducting daily arty strikes and every couple days bombers from bases to the north bomb the troops and airfields to keep the engineers busy. After another week or so, I will begin assaulting the base.
The Philippines
Well the Philippines still stand as well. There are daily arty battles at Clark Field, Manilla, Naga and Tuerguro (sp ?). But in all places except Tuer I outnumber the enemy troops, but they have city buildings and or forts to hide behind. Clark Field is getting weaker by the day from my daily arty strikes claiming 200-300 men, plus a few attacks have weakened their defenses. Naga is close to falling, as my last attack lowered the defenses to 1. Should only be a couple days before Naga falls, freeing up over 2 divisions to join the assault on Manilla - which will fall quickly then.
Chinese Theater
Not much has happened in China. We are in a deadlock right now. Huge armies oppose each other at several chinese bases and several positions on the rail. I am slowly winning as I have access to more men, artillery, supplies and air power than he does. Although the AVG keeps popping up to kill a few planes now and then - I have not been able to get the AVG into a decision battle with my Zeros yet [:@] I think parts of china will begin crumpling over the next couple weeks as my newly formed divisions arrive at the front, as well as some more arty I have bought out of Kwangtung. I am also flying in some more bomber assets. This along with some hidden items should start unravelling the china wall.

IJA air forces in China continue to hammer the airfield at Ichang. This has triple benefits; first it stops the chinese engineers from building / repairing fortifications; second it disables the airfield for chinese use; thirdly, it provides nice combat training for my chinese air force, who will one day be pitted against the veteran British RAF pilots in Burma.
Heavy bombers strike at Moulmein - both B-17Es and RAF LB-30 Liberators make runs at what seems to be the airfield. Oscars and Zeros intercept and manage to bring down 2 B-17s and damage numerous other bombers. Minor damage was reported to the airfield.
A bold move was taken by the commander of the Rangoon Air Force. A daring daylight raid of Diamond Harbor was conducted by 48 Nell bombers and 27 Zeros. No enemy CAP was spotted. A single Nell was lost in the raid, although a dozen or so were damaged from enemy flak. Reports indicate 5 enemy ships were strike by torpedoes including: ML Gouden Leeuw, CA Cornwall, CLAA Capetown, AK Nord and the AP Ariadne Moller.
Ground combat in Naga (Luzon) was finished today with a heavy attack. Two IJA Divisions leads several smaller units on a deliberate attack on allied holdings and routed the defenders. At the end of the day Naga was securely in Japanese hands, and over 14,000 enemy troops were either killed or captured. Intelligence reports that the 41st and 51st PA Divs, along with the 101st & 105th USAAF Base Forces were destroyed. This places southern Luzon completely in Japanese hands and these units will soon be heading north to assist in the battle at Manilla.
Other than some other normal air raids in China, not much else happened this day. The IJA forces at Palembang exchanged some arty fire with the defenders, but not much else is going on.

some corrections ( need to, due to jap propaganda ) [;)]
you will see sooner or later some ghost ships and / or units reported lost here are that they are still alive ...
he didnt counted the 12 Betties lost over Palembang not nor did he counted the 12 Sonias lost in China - all in a single raid of a good CAP.
looking at the lost planes table I think he paid a good number of top pilots - and we are only in mid february 42.
I punished res @ moulmein as he punished china resources as well.
Palembang will soon be lost due to the overhelming force of jap troops there. I hope the ENG units will blow the oil fields up there.
the Nell raid at the harbour - a good strike and a blow to my navy. there is just nothing you can do against his elite bombers and Zeros at this stage of the war.
I wonder what comes next as Eric is always good for a nasty surprise.

Would landing 3+ divisions at Pearl be considered a nasty surprise ? [:D]

The turn starts off with IJN SS I-174 locating and putting 2 torpedoes into AK Birmingham City near Wallis Island. The AK is critically damaged and dozens of bodies fall into the water from the 14th NZ Bigade. The TF makes landing at dawn and the New Zealanders storm ashore, but the AK sinks that afternoon after another torpedo hit.
Both Yenen and Ichang Airfields get pummled by IJA bombers scoring dozens of runway hits.
More RAF Liberators strike at Moulmein's airfield scoring a couple hits. 6 Liberators were heavily damaged in the run, but all escaped.
Allied bombers from Batavia (?) struck at the invasion TF at Palembang and ran into a dozen Zeros flying CAP. 8 escorting fighters were shot down, but the 8 bombers made it through to land a single bomb hit on AK Kinai Maru. The ship is in good condition with a small fire blazing.
An Attack at Palembang claims 160 enemy troops at just over a 100 men wounded. The assault also reduced the defenses of the port city. Another day (perhaps two) will see the port in Japanese hands.
Heavy arty attacks at Hengchow claimed nearly 450 chinese troops, as the IJA prepares for the push into the city.
Arty strikes at Clark Field claim over 200 troops as the troops there prepare for another push. IJA troops from Naga are rushing up the rail to Manilla to asist in securing the city.
The 14th NZ Brigade attacked Wallis island and recaptured the base against no opposition. Subs have been vectored in to cut off any escape from the island.
All in all a quiet turn - except for lots of arty strikes from both sides in china, and my constant bombardment of Singapore.

The turn started with an night air attack - nothing to report here, one Blenheim IF damaged and no harm done.
Japanese Air Forces attacked my ground units 2 hexes NW of HK ( where the rail connection is ). They brought 29 Nates, 10 Anns and 24 Sonias in the air. They were intercepted by 30 P-40 B from the famous AVG.
Japanese aircraft
Ki-27 Nate x 29
Ki-30 Ann x 10
Ki-51 Sonia x 24
Ki-15 Babs x 1
Allied aircraft
P-40B Tomahawk x 30
Japanese aircraft losses
Ki-27 Nate: 14 destroyed
Ki-30 Ann: 5 destroyed
Ki-51 Sonia: 9 destroyed, 1 damaged
Allied aircraft losses
P-40B Tomahawk: 4 damaged
Allied ground losses:
7 casualties reported
Aircraft Attacking:
15 x Ki-51 Sonia bombing at 2000 feet
5 x Ki-30 Ann bombing at 2000 feet
Air victory !
AVG has now over 70 kills - finally, the allies start to take names.
next phase came - the usual sub landing from Xargun. This time at Upolu. They were met by units of the USMC and USN - and got their asses ripped apart, taking over 90 men to the other side. No allied losses.
Xargun attacked by air at several other places, I damaged a few Vals here and there but no losses on the japanese side. He attacked Palembang by carrier borne air. the number of the squads are too small so they must be come from CVL/CVE and not from KB. Xargun has a landing op going on at Palembang and allied aircraft jumped in, scored 4 250lb bombs on Italy Maru ( was damaged turn before ) and they scored 2 250lb bombs on Kinai Maru, which had already a small fire buring on it. both ships are burning nicly now.
next good news : SS I-6 was damaged the turn before due to allied ASW efforts. B-17's from PH spotted the cripple 2 times and hitted it two times with bombs. the last bomb hit was too much - all souls are lost on SS I-6.
The usual ground battled raged across the pac area but nothing new to report here yet.

Yeah my boys got smacked around pretty bad. I was shocked at how ineffective high experienced pilots are in Nates. Also sad how my fighters couldn't keep the P-40s off the bombers.. Oh well.. At least their morale wasn't shot to hell like I thought it would be.

Oh well.. nothing but some supply is being destroyed.. The units on the ground already have plenty - like 5 times what they need and I will continue unloading until the ships are empty or sunk.

I'm not even gonna mention the odds of a B-17 hitting a moving sub with a bomb - let alone it happening twice in one turn...

Xrgun lost another 16 Ki-51 Sonia pilots over Honan.
24 unescorted Sonias tried a bombing run at the airfield. They were greeted by a chinese Air unit and some planes of the AVG. The Sonia group got shattered, 16 out of 24 planes are shot down. No bombs hit their targets as the remaining 8 planes decided to head home instead on their target.
Japanese troops landed on Kai Island taking it.
