Looked over the "P-47 & P-38 change" threads - at first glance I can't seem to find these missing sdqs, unless you're refering to the west coast sqds?

I hate to be pedantic, sorry, but I'll have to request the exact source for the 460 FS info. The problem is that it contradicts the info given by Mauer, who's work form the backbone of the CHS USAAF OOB, and we need to know eaxtly where it comes from before letting it supersede Mauer.

Part of the problem is that we need an exact definition of a sqd - clearly it's more than the planes and pilots.

Am I correct in saying that at least part of the manpower of 475 FG came from the US? Is it correct that at least part of the manpower of 460 FS came from within theatre? If so, how do they differ? What's the cut-off point to determine whether a sqd should appear in the US or overseas?
