China Situation
Changsha is abandoned as we take one of the cities behind it. Andrew decided not to Stalingrad it...

In the centre we will pull back. We are spread a little thin. We will now plan to occupy the defensive lines noted by the dashed line, and focus on Kunming in the west.

This will then free of the Southern Army units for use elsewhere, and ultimately some China based forces as well.

In the north we will harry him back to Sian. As we have cut off the far northern cities the forces around Sian will probably not get enough supply to grow... we may deal with them later.

That's a lesson I have learned after trying a disastrous river assault in my game. However, I thought that having the majority of China's supply making capacity underwraps for 6 months or more would have made them far more vulnerable. I was wrong forts/terrain trump everything, so maneuver is indeed the way to go. Those big stacks are more a liability if simply bypassed by Japan.

Nicely done! I wish I'd followed along more closely when you both first started, I would have learned alot and been able to apply some things to my current game. Great AAR and enjoying it immensely.

For some reason limited numbers our fighters sweep Silchar (see the image below, despite being set for range 1 they still flew). Fortunately no one was home.

He bombs Myitkyina trashing the place. Every days delay is good for us. Our 24cm howitzers give him somehurt back.

We will try our bombers somewhere different next turn.

We have about 70 Georges repairing. More units will be turn over to them soon. Then a mas ofa around 150 will be used.

We sent a CA Tf after the lone Destroyer, followed it all the way to Midway but kept missing it bay a couple of hex. It has now got away.

We are entering a consolidation phase. Harassing thelast units out of the pocket, but leaving the door open... we want them to leave (after we have suitably trashed them once or twice) rather than killing them.

Forces have begun to move on Kunming.



Oil is building nicely in the Home Islands, and supply is back up over 600k. Fuel will soon get somebig boosts.

Waiting for Andrews next move, he isprobably waiting to see where our CV force is.

A bit of banter back and forwardson the Kuriles. We have fairly good garrisons already, with more heading there soon.

Burma we have bogged down.

Expecting him to head to Luganville soon. If he is smart he will also generate an axis of attack up the west Oz coast/DEI.
