You have gutted the Japanese navy's combat force!!!!!!!!!! Do you even have an active fleet CV left in action? Because from the list it looks as though you have nothing left. The Allied navy should be able to sail anywhere they want to go. All the ground combat forces mean nothing if you can not sail them to where they are needed.

1944 looks to be interesting as Zeta parks 10 CV's off Japan and commences to slaughter whats left. I have yet to lose a single Japanese CV in any of the PBEM games I have going. I have lost the odd CVL/CVE though. Even against Panzer where 2 of my CV's and baby KB took on 5 Allied CV's in 3 actions over 2 days. Of course I only have 1 fleet CV left not in the paint and body shop. But geez, all of them lost. I see no hope for you Dude.

If I was your opponent I wouldn't care less how many carriers you had at the beginning of 1944. Your Zeros are junk, once you decide to fight I'll sink all of your carriers anyway. I'm not too worried about the predictions though.

How does the Kamikazi option work? I will put them to good use.

As I understand it, once the Allies get within 10-15 hexes of Japan, you can convert airgroups to kamikazes. Then, on naval attack, they fly out, and I assume smack into the ships. Haven't gotten that far though.

It should be useful as Zeta will have to invade the islands to win because all of Asia will be under Japanese control. I wonder if the game gives additional reinforcements to Japan for the invasion. They planned to arm all the civilians IIRC.

Somehow (I presume in your editing) - the part where Kona actually got taken is gone! We had reports on the Allies landing (or trying to), then Japanese bombardment, then - you said it was taken. Is the info classified??[:(]

Somehow, the AAR where Kona actually is taken is missing: we have reports of the Allied landing, the Japanese bombardment, and then nothing... i presume it was edited out? Is it classified?[:(]

No, I didn't post that combat report. He landed like three divisions and several raider battalions to take the place.

I still do not get landings. I bombed the port for a month and it did nothing to the cd guns in the base force. The attacks said on many of them that they destoryed guns. I bombarded the base with ships and it did nothing. I had Ca's and Cl's in the landing force and they seem to do nothing. I landed 3 preped divisions and they can't do much to 3 base forces in a level 9 fort. I can't imagine trying to take a Island with real troops and a level 9 fort. After bombing the island for at least a month on port and airfield attacks I thought maybe it would be low on supply, I guess I was wrong. I will take the Island but is will take a few weeks I think.

Some of the bigger guns were disabled, though the smaller ones were still ok. What was the prep numbers for the divisions? Weren't these the same ones that invaded Christmans Island?
