Rumanian invaders were beaten back again from the gates of Odessa. They do give a refreshing taste of victory to the red army time and time again. The heroic city of Kiev keeps attracting german panzers like light attracts the flies. And the panzers die like flies:) No other action this week. Lovely rain came at the end of the week.

As rain fell across the battlefield, action was limited to air and artillery strikes at critical points on the front lines. Also, Leningrad, Rostov and Sevastopol were hit by air raids with mixed success.

The Red Army continues to be hit by constant air attacks without any signs of their supporting airpower to defend them. However, recon reports indicate that the Red Air Force has been heavily training in the Urals area and appear to be highly trained and full strength. The Smolensk land bridge was the only area to see ground combat with the defenders thrown back after heavy air attacks.

Luftwaffe recon reports indicate the massing of thousands of Red Air Force planes in the north around Leningrad. Air strikes were launched to damage the build up, with some success and with some heavy losses. Meanwhile, preparations were made to deal with the massive forces there, but range limitations will prevent a decisive solution.

Minor combat continued around Kiev and Smolensk, with an enemy HQ overrun.

Our little preparation for a small surprise air attack was sadly catched by the alert enemy. We pulled our air force back for a better opportunity. No action this week.

Red Air Force units were reported massing in the south from the Leningrad area, and extremely heavy air battles broke out over the newly occupied air fields. Losses were heavy on both sides, and ground action was very limited.

After the heroic commitment of the red air force was crushed, the fascist dogs CAPTURED KIEV!!!

We already have intelligence reports about massive human right abuses. All captured soviet soliders were slowly tortured to death by the furious germans, who were extremely angry because of the very long siege and the thousands of fallen comrades.

We urge the neutral powers to start an investigation about this (we allow them to go to Kiev as it is rightfully belongs to the Sovietunion!), and after they see this horror by their own eyes they should join the heroic red army destroying this evil empire!

Free people of the world: after we are defeated you will be next, so join the fight until we have a chance against the highly efficent german warmaschine!

The fall of Kiev was celebrated in the fatherland, as the people begin to see the end of the war brought on by the heinous enemy forces. Reports of atrocities by our forces are absurd, as the troops are too busy liberating the population of their political yoke to even think about harming the cheering inhabitants of the city and surrounding region.

Meanwhile, further attacks in the north around Smolensk gained ground and caused massive casualties for the enemy. The front appears ready to collapse if the rivers in the area can be passed.

Red air force took revenge for the innocently murdered civilans in Kiev and handed a devastating defeat on the Luftwaffe forces based in 6th army airfields. Large fw190 hordes were defeated and the airfield was bombed with everything avaiable.

After the heavy airfield attacks of the enemy air forces, arriving in nearly overwhelming numbers, the wreckage of destroyed planes was pushed off the airfields and the damaged planes repaired as quickly as possible. Meanwhile, air reserves were sent to the front.

In the meantime, the ground assault on the enemy forces continued, punching holes in the front lines near Smolensk and south of Kiev in preparation for deep panzer attacks.

Red air force hit the german 2nd army's airfields this week. The losses were huge on the both sides. The first part of the week saw devastating losses to our attacking bombers, but at the weekend our fighters managed to escort the heroic bombers above the target and the bombers revenged the losses suffered from the killer fw's. The great air offense continues for air supremacy and a chance for survival for the workers paradise.

The Luftwaffe high command ordered an investigation into the disasters occuring during the fighting in the Soviet Union, with thousands of planes being lost recently. Development of new fighter types was hurried to help tip the balance in the air back toward our forces.

In the meantime, Soviet fighters from north of Smolensk were pulled into combat on the frontlines, followed by air striked on their airfields that destroyed a number of planes. However, the situation in the air is still not as favorable as desired.

The mighty red air force continued the air offense. To show our might, and to demoralise the Luftwaffe we struck the 2nd army airfields again. Our losses were high again, but so it was the Luftwaffe's. Our troops made a small tactical withdrawal from Odessa as the a big encirclement of our troops was likely.

Almost all Luftwaffe bombers were thrown into attacks on Smolensk and the surrounding area to destroy the defensive forces in and north of the city. However, destruction of the city caused massive problems for the follow on attack, resulting in the failure of the attack. However, the defensive forces appear to be on the verge of collapse, and a shortage of artillery for the enemy of Germany appears to be growing. Reserves of manpower are quite large, although tank reserves are not, but a widening of the assault is planned to take advantage of the extra manpower.

Over the long northern flank of the enemy, the red air force slowly and painfully wrestles air suppriority. 2nd army airfields were hit again. This time the softening of the german infantry has began for our great counteroffense aiming a cutoff of the german panzers heading to Moscow.

The Wehrmacht widened its offensives this week, aiming to open up a hole in and north of Smolensk and drive to the Dnepr river in the south along its whole length. However, many attacks failed, although Smolensk did fall. Meanwhile, fresh air units were sent to protect the northern flank from the heavy Soviet air attacks that are hitting the air units already there very hard. Preparation of new air weapones is being rushed to get unstoppable planes into action.

1944. january 7.

The red army continued it's skillfull withdrawal from the southern territories. The broken line in the centre is a big worry though, as we had not enough troops to stabilize the defence. The red air force rested this week. We would like to ask the americans for a test bombing of german airfields with their superb heavy bombers. For every destroyed german aircraft we buy one B-17. Is it a deal?

No losses this week.

The propaganda released by the Red Army last week amazed our soldiers and politicians, downplaying the risks to our victorious army as it advances into central Russia. With tank armies massed to the north and east of our bulge, and an open hole to the south inviting attack away from Moscow, the risk of being cutoff and destroyed is very high. Meanwhile the Red Air Force redeployed to the south to strike our advancing forces. Heavy air combat broke out with heavy losses on both sides, especially to the Luftwaffe.

The red army was lucky that german panzers are still afraid of soviet tank army ambush. Of course our tank armies are not excatly the same power as they were just a year ago, but just maybe the germans still have same reason to be afraid:) The red air force returned to business as usual. 6th army airfields were hit hard.
