I see a division south of Lake Peipus that has a few German divisions next to it; there's one of those dotted blue lines that marks the area impassible, so maybe the Germans can't attack it?  The division isn't really defending anything in that current hex.

Thanks for your kind words.......and don't worry about hijacking my thread.........anybody can post whatever is really interesting no matter what in the world it is.....'cause I like interesting things. So I'll be watching your AAR with interest too. Good luck to the both of you and may you both have some fun, exercise your minds, and try to teach each other your distinctive playstyle. We all have one and I'm on the brink of finding out how KLilly plays because I've played him so many times. He and I think a lot alike I think. He is a really good compeditor and I'm thankful he's playing me ( again ). This is fun.

Lemme look the area up when I get a chance ( when it's my turn again ).....and we'll see what you mean.

EDIT: Oh. I see what you mean. Um........the dotted line doesn't travel between me and the German units so I'm assuming that I'm in that hex by necessity as that hex could be entered by the Axis dudes.

Here's the T12 front lines before I move anything. Anybody else see something strange? Where in the world are the Finns?

Here's another one of those Commanders Reports to showcase the Army HQ's:

Out of the 6,000+ aircraft that are ready only 40 or so are in the NR. So I'm almost fully deployed spoiling for a fight with the Lufftwaffe.

I have bombers who have more kills than some of my fighters. I'm guessing that's because we're counting those Axis planes destroyed on the ground as well as the shoot-downs.

Only 5 attacks this time. And no airstrikes. Strange. Maybe Kevin is refitting this time and resting his units.

Here's the only attack that happened in the north. Not much of an effort this turn by the Axis. I moved a unit into the hex he had
attacked and called it a day here in the north.

I did about a dozen air strikes on his airfields. Here's the results:

Hi. Checking in on the AAR. So, here's the problem. I won the last game with Larry and then I got overconfident. Tried a different strategy in this game, basically encircling the swamp with a single drive down the middle. Thought I could bull rush my way to Kiev and then go north or south.

Disaster. I didn't isolate the tanks in the south or the ones at the edge of the swamp. Plus, Larry has improved a ton. So, short story--I'm getting killed. I'm going to have to come up with a whole new, and much more defensive, plan. Larry blocked me at Kiev (extremely defensible) for 3 turns. Finally got across the river with 3 buildups. But I'm now running out of good weather, and the Soviets barely noticed that the nazis dropped in.

this is going to be a tough one.

In the Commander's Report the aircraft kills are just for in-air ones.

I think the Finns may have declared victory and just gone home! [:D]

Just so we're clear: you're telling me my bombers are shooting down fighters? That's sooooooo cool. I'll keep that in mind when assigning planes to bases.

There were only 2 Axis attacks in turn 12. I wonder what Kevin is thinking right now. I'm guessing he has a supply problemo or
something, else there would be a massive push in there by the Axis forces. Kevin and his Panzers are finally across the river so I
look for some HQ Buildup's and a massive pocket follows. He's going to make a breakthrough in here one of these turns. I just hope I
can rail in enough troops to mitigate it's worst effects.

I decided to evacuate all the industry out of Kaluga since it's in the most threatened position I guess.

I railed out all the Mig-3's that I had rail points for ( from Moscow to a city I don't remember the name of now). EDIT: Yeah,
Kotelnich. Of course, Kotelnich.

Larry, just my 2 cents from a semi-new sov player. The mig-3 facs go away with no upgrade path after dec 41. they aren't really worth saving. The P3-R facs though....that there is pure gold. You may want to spend some time checking all your facs and seeing upgrade paths ectr....to make informed choices on what gets railed and when.
