RE: BATTLE LINES CLASH IN NIGHT ACTION

Post by Andy Mac »

HMS Royal Sovereign Sinks on way to Diamond Harbour (was already 85% sys) from surface action.

That makes 2 RN BB's and a BC sunk in a week.

In return for 1 IJN BB and 2 IJN BB's badly damaged plus a few others hit lightly.

RN has paid a high price for holding the line in the Bay of Bengal.

Only on ships in an uncapped port at 5000 feet ;)

Had they been in Taskforces or even some NF's up I would not have hit a fraction of those numbers ;P

You need to get me out of Java mate I have 3 full BG's of heavies operating now thats over 150 heavies hitting any target in range

Have fun !!!!

(I am looking forward to recieving that turn)

Apologies you had a cap that is a tad weird although 50 bombers will ruin anyones day remember what 20 FAA bombers did to the Italians at Taranto.

I had three times the numbers bombing quite low.

I agree no real critical hits but i think sveints complaint was the accuracy and quantity of hits that would have seriously damaged lighter units

Hi, That is why I refrain from taking Palembang before I have driven Allied bomber units beyond range of reaching it. (Batavia)

ps the fact that my defences are being eroded at Clark implies the end is not far away for the US/ PI army.

I expect the end within two weeks.

Lady Lex is badly damaged

Enterprise you mean?

In fact I've known where your carriers were for along time, just didn't know how to attack them. Initially I was going to wait for LBA and the ground forces but then I came up with this attack from out of range from your bombers.

Lightly damaged. For some reason (bug?) my airstrikes are not happening. I'll give it one more day.

RE: BATTLE LINES CLASH IN NIGHT ACTION

Allied GHQ shoot the High Commander after he leaves 2 out of 3 BG's plus numerous DAF Martin Squns at Batavia.

I lost a lot of aircraft today.

50 4 engined bombers destroyed on ground.

I knew I shoudld have moved em all last turn.

Ah well of greater worry and perhaps opportunity is the fact that the full IJN CV fleet is concentrated at Singapore or off of Sumatra.

I am guessing I know where they are going and it aint Java.

This may provide an opportunity for the allies.

All other CV forces abandon there convoys to concentrate for a lil operation I have planned.

While the Cats away bombing Batavia.......

PS Kongo has sank so that makes it Ramillies and Royal Sovereign in return for Kongo and Yamashiro not that bad a trade as I can afford the losses.
