Tutorial Available???

Post by beast013 »

I was wondering if anyone has any tutorials/strategy help for the game? Not that I'm in the dark, but I have read the posts and seen loses players have inflicted on the Russians. When I play, I can't get near to that level as the Germans. I hope that I'm just missing some basic mechanics of the game. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

Hi,

I think as Germans, in the early game, you have to think in supply path. Keep it free for Germans panzers and cut it for Soviets. That's the best way to inflict valuable loses to Soviets.

Try to think many turns in advance and release your panzers to the goal you have fixed, let the infantry take in charge the lonely soviets units behind you.

Best way to learn, is to play Pbem as soviets and as German against routiner player, in order to learn tacticts and many many tips. <img src="wink.gif" border="0">

Welcome.

A valid question, will other players help?

Lets organise this as it pops up all the time.

Everyone, post your replies on this thread and i'll copy them verbatim to a word document called 'WiR Tutorial' and put it on the Yahoo site.
Express your opinions freely as every little bit of info helps those who are new to the game.

If we all do this one more time then it will be available for d/load whenever someone needs it.

Thanks

IMHO it is great idea. We can put all tips and stuf that the rules never speak for ( like West and Italian Calculation, LOrenzo Pbem house rules, ...)

Have cut and pasted some hints and tips found on the 2 pages of this board and also copied Lorenzo's House rules. HintsAndHouseRules.doc
was done on word pad and is now available for d/Load from the Yahoo site.

(Ist post on the 'Download site for WiR' thread)
