CINCPAC War Diary World War II

Post by konev »

Gentlemen,

I know this subject relates somewhat to the Pacific War, but I did not know where to post this.

I am currently acquiring copies of the US Commander-in-Chief, Pacific Fleet War Diary for World War II. They include intelligence and operations summaries and details on the disposition of forces, down to individual ships.

I currently possess the months of December 1941 thru March 1942, but because of the cost of acquiring additional copies, I am currently at a stopping point.

I am thinking of scanning the material and putting them into Adobe Acrobat format, then scanning the material and selling the CD-ROMs.

I would like to know who I can contact in the Harpoon family to help seel them. Right now I am just thinking of seeling enough to acquire all of the months, then the long-range is to go after the individual Fleets.

Can anyone help?

Regards,

Sounds like an intellectual property violation...

Nope,

Every page of this comes from the US National Archives. Since documents (which these are) are created by a government agency, they are not protected by copyright.

Besides, I already cleared it with my contact taking my orders there and with two others that handle government documents.
