To celebrate the imminent release ...

A brand new campaign-based 3D tactical engine covering combat in World War II, from the developers at Koios Works. The first operation covered is the famous "Wintergewitter" or Winter Storm, a desperate attempt by Hoth's 57th Panzer Korps to break through to the encircled 6th Armee at Stalingrad and the Soviet counter-attack by 2nd Guards Army that drove them back.

To celebrate the imminent release ...

Post by Laryngoscope »

Hi guys,

To celebrate the imminent release of the Panther G I have been working on for so long now, I thought I would give you all a chance to vote on a preferred camo scheme / unit insignia. The unit numbers will need to go unfortunately (as otherwise all the platoons have the same), and for the same reason the camo needs to be something generic / winter based, no “famous octopus” camos allowed [:D]

Instead of releasing this baby into a vacuum, I also thought it would be appropriate to release a (small) scenario depicting the panther in action. The requirements for this would be eastern front, later than late 43 (not *much* diff between a panther A and G at this scale), something in the snow, on the attack would be good but by the time the G's came (mid 44) Germany was mostly on the defence. Any ideas on good historical scenario material which meets the above criteria?

I attach the (final) move/death cycle. Its a bit hard to see because of the black background but the antenna mast sways with movement, the hull Mgun prowls its arc, and death is very "4th of Julyish" much to Bil H's despair. The right tracks break as well [;)]

Note the latest move/death cycle found at the bottom of this thread:

I look forward to your suggestions

Outstanding! I managed to miss this post when you first put it up, but I'm downloading the Panther + Scenario now.
