Forgotten Password for PBEM???

Post by Skeleton »

Okay, lets say I have this friend, not the brightest guy, and he has several PBEM games going and he has somehow forgotten the password to a game he just started, how can I help this poor fool resolve this minor problem? I, I mean he, doesn't want to have his opponent have to start his first turn over from scratch as it took him around an hour to do. Is there anyway to find the password within the files or directories of the game? I thank you on behalf of my friend for any and all help.

I'm not sure how to remedy your "friend's" current problem but...in the future I might suggest your "friend" use the same password for all his games. That's worked for me

I am sure I speak for my "friend", when I say, thank you for the late but wise advice. We will keep that in mind going forward.

I don't think you can recover a forgotten password - or at least I've never seen that possibility mentioned anywhere.

I'm thinking that the guy who writes the code for this T3 program can possibly dig out the password.  Maybe you ought to drop a line to Ralph and beg him to give it a look.

EDIT: I say this because I'm sure the password is saved in the *.pbl file that gets sent
back and forth from person to person.
