Russian tanks

It seems after playing my first scenario pitting German panzers against Russian tanks that Russian tanks were impervious to hits. This was the same mistake that was made when East Front was put out. Statistically, the T-34 was the best tank of the war. However, Russian tankers were not the best trained or had the spirit that German tankers had. Even the BT-2 tank is impervious to hits and damage.

The russain tanks are not impervious if you use the same kind of tactics that the Germans did and I found that they did the armour stats very will. If your standing back and just shotting at them your a dead man for sure, just like any German tanker who did the same before the tiger came on the scen. But if you go for side shots or gang up on one tank at a time you will get the upper hand. Im playing the Germans in a campaign and I have a 10 to 1 kill retio vs the russains and the computer buys a lot more KVs then what the russains really had.

I would agree with Drake. If you are facing BT-2s and T34s, you are likely not equipped with anything very powerful. You have to go for side shots on T34s until you get something better than a long barreled panzer 4, though they really have a tough time killing T34s from the front unless they are close, elite, and/or on a hill. And whatever you do, try to align your tanks so that they are firing perpendicular to the soviet armor instead of at 45 degrees or something like that.
You can also invest in some 88s and use them as your primary tank killers while your panzers distract the tanks. Tigers are the next big thing in Soviet tank busting.
