Tin Soldiers: Alexander Not Playing

I finally loaded the game--thanks to the great help from Matrix--but when I attempt to play nothing happens when I click "Play." I registered the game and I can open the manual and go to the websites when I click on the appropriate buttons. I have a SONY VAIO that is about three years old and Windows XP. Any suggestions on why the game isn't loading and what I need to do? Thanks again.
