Time outs

Post by Hubbard »

Is there not a way to call timeout from the play calling screen? I know you can call time out on the way back to the huddle, but some times I need to call a time out after that.

Right now the only way is after the play is dead and the players are going back to the huddle. I'll see about putting a 'time out' button on the play calling screen.

Or maybe you can make it an option when you hit escape from the play calling screen? Like when you hit escape to look at stats during the game.

I thought about that. The difficulty is that the game wouldn't know who called the time out. For Head Two Head games, either player can call a time out as the players go back to the huddle by pressing button or key 3 on their respective controllers. This is how the game knows who called the time out. Hitting escape works for the player using the keyboard, but it doesn't work for the player with the game controller (or mouse).

For single player games against the AI the above problem is mute, but as the game supports H2H play on the same machine with two different input devices, any solution I make has to work for that situation.

OK... so I'm new... but it would be nice if ALL the game commands were in the "emanual.pdf".

How do I call time out?
Is it different for games vs. AI and head to head?

Thanks!

Mr Winter,

Would it be possible to add in the timeout function at the play calling screen by pressing a key, say "5" (to separate it better from 1-3)?  The same logic could be carried over the field, since "2" is used for motion.
