Starshatter: Saved Game

When I load a saved game and access the missions screen, the next missions do not appear as a list, instead a single mission title blinks on and off and it is impossible to choose it, and progress the game.

If I am playing a campaign, and do not leave the game, I am able to progress from one mission to the next without normally The problem only occurs if I save and try to re-access the saved game.

Is there a way to fix this?

I was fairly heartbroken when I encountered this same bug, after all the excitement I went through reading about the game's premise. I was about to give up and uninstall Starshatter since I couldn't stand having to restart from the beginning of the campaign each time. Patches didn't help and it's not a known issue as far as
I can tell. But I fixed it, and here's how:

1) I created a new profile thing, not sure if this is necessary or not.
2) I did all of the training missions and passed them. These seem to save okay so you don't need to do them in a single sitting. They only take a few minutes each, and there's about a half-dozen of them.
3) I started a new campaign, played a mission, quit out, went back, and voila! Missions were accessible.

I was using 4.5.0. Hope this helps you.

There was a problem with the save file, where you need to modify a string of text used for the date or something. There is more info in the forums somewhere, had a quick look but could not find it. But its there, somewhere....
