There is a "TOPLISS" kicker, a LB named "BUCKMASTER", and a speed demon named "BLENDER". Most of the last names are quite interesting to say the least. [:D]

I've seen some good ones. There are just about 9000 names in the database. They all come from the census department.. so I would only assume they're real names (if not they're still pretty good [:)] )

I'm not exactly sure of the URL I grabbed them from, but I think this is it; http://www.census.gov/genealogy/names/dist.all.last  (this page takes a very long time to load)

The last names can be funny, but what's funnier is when I see a couple of players with the first name Barbara or Louise. Espacially if it's an offensive lineman.

I found it a little curious that there were women's names in the game. But hey, you tell a 6'6", 310 lb. Left Tackle named Sue that he has a sissy name.
It's time to kick ass and chew bubblegum... and I'm all outta gum.

There is no Barbara or Sue in the first name table for the computer to pick, so I can only assume this is something you're seeing with the Stock NY team in the stock US League? If so, those names were put in their on purpose because they're employee's of Matrtix. You might also see a couple different Heath's because David asked me to put his kids into the game.

The two particular names you mention are included in the last names table so maybe you're seeing them as last names?

I don't know, but you always have the option of renaming the players or changing the list they are generated from for that matter.
