Game just starts

Not sure what happened, but I was able to start new games and play until a sucessful seige.

But now, when I click to play, I get the "loading screen" and it just stays there for a long time. Eventually, I get a message that Ky has joined a side. It appears the game is just starting without giving me the main menu so I can start a game. Even worse, it's playing without me!!!

OK. I have no idea why, but a reboot fixed the issue. After trying to start a new game at least five time, I finally rebooted and tried again. This time I was given the options pages (by that I mean "Local Game" etc...)

If the game hangs on the loading screen - press the "exit" key. It seems to get things moving again.

There is no exit key on this screen. I select "Play" and tha game starts to load (progress bar on the bottom). Then after a few minutes I get a message that Kentucky has joined on side or the other.

It has just happened to me again. I exited to report that a reboot fixed it. And then I tried to restart and had the same issue.

One other oddity I note when this occurs is that I cannot bypass the Matrix Games splash screen video. Not sure if it provides a clue.

Going to reboot and see if it again allows me to start a game.

I've had the exact same problem a few times - with the same message about Kentucky joining a side.
