Order Delays

What is the effect of adjusting an order? Let’s say it was a movement order, issued 1 hour ago and the unit is already moving. Now I want to order the unit/organization to stop short, or go farther. I can move the current last objective of the order to a new location; what kind of delay have I caused by this “frag order”? Is there any at all, or it just depends?
I have not noticed units stopping due to this kind of change orders, but I have not really checked this.

I have similar question for changing of unit tolerance orders. By clicking on a unit’s objective you open up the rate of fire, loss tolerance and so on. It is possible to change those orders (even if the unit has not reached that location yet). Once again, is there a delay to this type of order tinkering or is it instantaneous?

Good question.
According to manual (p.111) - change of final location would cause a replan, which means full scale delays are applied. But move of intermediate waypoint doesn't cause a replan, i.e. no delays. No delays also goes with:

Move or Defend Orders
± Changing Speed, Route, Aggro, ROF, and Losses
± Changing Frontage, Depth, and Facing
± Changing Formation, except for In-Situ, which does incur orders delay
Attack or Probe Orders
± Changing Speed, Route, ROF, and Losses
± Changing Frontage, Depth, or Facing
± Changing Formation (except for In-Situ) during the move to FUP, or sometimes (but not always) during the assault
