Ratings System Question

Post by GeneralFlash »

Sorry if this has been asked before.

I know when there is an injury the computer reorders the depth charts as needed. My question is what are the formulas the computer is using to determine the depth chart order? I assume that each position has its own criteria for determining the best order. Are these accessible in a database file or something? I want to be able to visibly rate my players (sort of like the overall rating in Madden).

Thanks

The team profile is used to determine most of this. There are some individual creteria (pocket passer is only for QB's for example) but many (such as speed and agility) are common to all positions.

One thing I notice about this particular issue, is that in many cases after drafting or picking up a free agent Center, often the special teams Blocker is positioned as the Center, while the actual Center is repositioned as an OL, many times put in place as a Left Tackle. I have learned that before each game is played I need to go through and reset this. It doesn't happen for every offensive formation, just some of them. It also sets a Tight End as a 3rd or 4th slot Receiver many times, instead of using a different WR from the depth chart.
