Surrender

Post by Marauder »

During my latest 1941 Campaign Game, in January of 1944, the Allies surrendered, for no apparent reason, and I can't load a saved game now. What's up with this?

Maraunder,

See my earlier topic "Game Ends Message". This has happened to me and a few others. A bug - very frustrating. It doesn't happen to everyone, so it must trigger when the victory points for both sides reach a certain level.

Could you post up the stats? (all of them, including points for base control, production, kills, etc..)

What might be happening, is, the Allies capitulating due to SUCH a high casualty rate. Maybe there is a hard-coded number of allowable kill points the Japanese can accumulate to get the Allies to quit the war because of losses?

It could be just a bug though!

Major Tom,

The two times is happened to me, the game ended after 3 or 8 turns because of a draw, not a US loss. The victory points for both sides were almost equal. See my post under "Game Ends Message". Thanks.

Major Tom,
I'm unable to post the stats. I saved the game and exited, and now cannot load my save.
I do remember most of the message - something to the affect of "US drops unconditional surrender demand - Japan agrees to withdraw from occupied territories."

Thanks,
Marauder
