Why I hate this game

Post by randell765 »

This is a mixed bag,

I love this game(as far as playing), but at the end of the battle, I always end up with very little money. I complete all the objectives, have minimal losses, get major victories, have a lot of elite units but no money to replace units. Oh, the game gives me some like 85 dollars, which is pretty worthless. How the hell was the money system set up?

The better you do the less you get? I am at the battle vs Horace, you know, the one where it's you vs 7 elephants+an army of almost infinite units and I can't even field a full army, yeah, that's real class. Either put it in the rule book, mabey the more battles you go into the less money you get because you are so far away from Greece? Or let us know how and what the rules are for how much money you will get.

When I don't get enough money, I just reload before the last objective was met and then advance, have to do this a few times, not even to get some cards, but just to get an army onto the field.

Jason,

The idea behind the system is that the more soldiers that survive a battle, the more that you have to pay them/share the rewards of battle. This is actually fairly historic, though the exact calculations are balanced for game-play.

In general, you will achieve a balance between # of units, elite status of units and # of game cards. If your army is fairly elite, it tends to be smaller -- you have to share more wealth with your elite soldiers.
