Links to Forge of Freedom

John Tiller's Battleground Series is a Hall of Fame lineup of games covering the Civil War and Napoleonic Wars. We've compiled these classic games into two new affordable collections, incorporating updated versions of these legendary titles. Incredible historical gameplay and great value!

Links to Forge of Freedom

Post by Tom_Doc_Holliday »

Any chance this series of games could be linked to the recently released Forge of Freedom as the tactical partner?
I have always been a fan of John Tiller's games, and have recently purchased Forge of Freedom, which is a great strategic/operational game. However, if they could be combined, I think you would have a true winner on your hands.
I would be willing to pay the price for 2 games for this combo.
Thanks,
Doc

I doubt that it is practical, but I love the idea!

I haven't bought Forge of Freedom yet, but the tactical battles do not excite me... at least from the screen shots and AAR's that have been posted. However, I would love a strategic game that played out the battles using the BG system. You have to recognize that this would be one heck of a long game though!

My old Piczo site seems to be gone, so no more Navajo Nation pics :(

Right now FoF has the ability to bypass "detailed battle," so I wouldn't see the longer game as an issue. It can still be played fairly quickly as a strategic/operational game, or with a BG addition, it could be played with all the detail one could desire.
